Almost everyone I know calls this 'the skating vicar' -and I grew up in Edinburgh and know the painting, and duddingston loch well.

I know that vicar is not a scots word. its just one of those things. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.12.29.224 (talk • contribs) 04:53, 28 July 2006

Well, I grew up in Leith and lived for a time in Edinburgh, knew the painting and the loch fine well, and always called it the skating meenister. Any reliable source for it being the skating vicar? ...dave souza, talk 07:15, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
