[edit] Failed GA
The article is pretty well written, and is an interesting read. But it lacks important references. The timeline mentioned in the "Background" section is largely unreferenced w.r.t the dates and years. Claims such as "The character of Penrose is clearly modelled on Herbert himself" cannot be made without a proper citation. The critical reaction secn is very good; other sections need to be modelled on those lines. I am failing the GA for now, have to add more references. Once that it done, please relist. I am sure it will pass. All the best.
One more thing you can consider is to add the cover art, for some visual identification. --soum talk 07:26, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
- Dates are all taken from Pound unless noted otherwise. I've avoided excessive footnoting so as not to clutter the article - direct quotes are sourced, as is anything not taken from one of the named general sources, but every little detail taken from those doesn't need referenced. We are in the business of doing synthesis, after all...
- There is no cover art. "Cover art" didn't really exist in 1919 for most books - you got a plain cloth binding and not much else. One of the subsequent paperbacks could probably be used, but that wouldn't serve any purpose other than prettifying the article. Shimgray | talk | 12:24, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
