[edit] Grounds for deletion?
I see many like to jump on the speedy deletion button without thinking it over, so I give you my reasoning for re-creating this article. Either we delete BioShock 2, all content of Category:2009_video_games, Category:Upcoming_video_games, and other related articles about upcoming products, or we keep this one as well. If you don't like the phrasing, please, re-write and enrich it. I have nothing to do with the project and wouldn't want to spend any more of my time on it, but I also do not like having double standards in regards to this issue. I would like to hear a clear and valid argument in favor of deletion of this page, one that will be applied to all similar articles currently present on Wikipedia.
- I also realized that the reason for deletion is "promotional spam". To clarify, the reason for the previous deletion that was edited by several users was, in a nutshell, "lack of information and references". Gamespot, Gamasutra, and IGN are valid and internationally recognized names in video gaming. I referenced them in the same manner as I would reference CNN, Reuters, or BBC. Personally, I think that the number of references is a bit too high, but I choose to provide them rather excessively solely by request of Malinaccier. To summarize, I contest both WP:CRYSTAL and WP:CSD G11 criteria for speedy deletion of this article and I would like you take that objection into consideration.

Why on Earth did you delete that The Scourge Project game stub? Stubs are supposed to be expanded, not deleted. The Scourge Project is an existing project that is referenced by every major game reviewing site. It's been officially announced by Tragnarion Studios and the page had nothing to do with speculation. Moreover, what moral ground do you have to discard the efforts of other users without any consideration? I am seriously questioning your judgment on this one, especially considering the resulting unavailability of the revision history tab. Rankiri (talk) 03:04, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
The article The Scourge Project was tagged with the template {{prod}}, which is a request for an article to be uncontroversially deleted. After a PROD tag is on an article for 5 days, an article can be deleted without further notice. The Scourge Project had this tag on it for five days, and because nobody objected to its deletion by removing [1], I deleted it. This is perfectly within policy. Though the game has been oficially announced, it is still not notable per WP:CRYSTAL. Though a lot of work may have been put into it, it is still deletable per WP:EFFORT. If you still disagree with the deletion of the article, then see WP:DRV. Thank you, Malinaccier Public (talk) 12:33, 24 March 2008 (UTC)

I'll admit that you acted in accordance with the expired prod deletion guidelines, however, I would still like to contest the validity of the original {{prod}} request and [informally] apply for undeletion of the stub. It is my understanding that WP:CRYSTAL refers to unverifiable information. The information on existence of that project may be scarce, but it is most certainly not unverifiable or speculative in nature.

I have little personal interest in that particular page - frankly, I spent mere minutes of my own time on it, - but I just don't see how it is different from any other unreleased projects that have their own pages on Wikipedia. Just a couple of examples off the top of my head: Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning, Indiana Jones 4 (2008), Red Alert 3, StarCraft II, Windows 7... the list can go on and on. BioShock 2 in particular has a page that is nearly indistinguishable from the one you deleted. Should {{prod}} be applied to it too, as well as to all underdeveloped stubs in general? I'd like you to shed some light on this confusion if possible. Rankiri (talk) 17:43, 24 March 2008 (UTC)

If you can provide references, and a specific release date (rather than "Later this year") I will allow the page to be recreated. I will create a page for you to work on it here. Best of luck =)! Malinaccier (talk) 23:08, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
