Talk:The Republican (Springfield)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This article incorporates text from the Encyclopædia Britannica Eleventh Edition, now in the public domain.

This article is very weak. Up until recently The Republican name was only used for the Sunday edition – "The Sunday Republican" – and the daily edition was called "The Union News." Also missing is the influence held by the newspaper in the city itself. And where is David Starr? He is the President of the Republican Co. and holds quite some say in Springfield politics.

I know that a majority of this article is carried over from a very old encyclopedia. This has allowed it to escape the "stubb" designation. I find this to be a shame, as anyone looking for current information will find absolutely nothing of pertinent use.--Ami in CH (talk) 16:17, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
