not emo!!! RJA is not emo!! who put that??

Christian

Did anyone realise that all the band members have a christian faith but tend to keep it on the quiet side?

Why is this notable? Chubbles 02:40, 18 June 2007 (UTC)

Is it really that "hushed," though? I mean, they do put it into their songs quite often: For instance, "Face Down" talks about divine retribution and the resurrection, "Your Guardian Angel" talks of sacrificing everything for the sake of another ("even if saving you sends me to Heaven"), "Angels Cry" displays thematic elements of the Faith in subtle ways also. So ... what do you mean "quiet side"? They're quite vocal, even if not a Christian band. I do sort of agree, though: I don't understand quite where this comment is leading ...

Ya I would say the band members in this band do belive in God and are of the christian faith. But there kind of like the Band The Classic Crime. The classic crime does have some christian memebers in there band and some of there song can have christian views in them but the band does not want to be consider a christian band. One of the main resons why is because there are two people in there band that are not christians. User:Skateremorocker

love seat says the f word in the first line I think, christians dont swear —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.38.65.47 (talk) 17:11, 21 September 2007 (UTC)

Dude No were in that so does it say the F word you need to shut up about stuff alright. and the band has said that most of the members of there band are Christian and cathlic. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.215.29.161 (talk) 23:21, 22 September 2007 (UTC)

Hard to Find Article

Why is it so hard to find this article? unless you spell their name perfectly it directs you to nothing close to this band. -chud50

im glad you fixed all the errors in the article-

Upon enlisting the help of two fans turned friends, Kara Fine and Bernadette Rillorta, the band's website was properly developed and a strong local street team was established

but thats wrong. a girl named Lallie started their street team.

Kins and Carrol was a full length album, it just wasnt a "debut album" because they weren't signed.

band members didnt leave because they were teased, they left because the record companies wouldnt sign RJA while they were in the band, and they wanted what was good for the band. Dan & Tom have remained friends with the band.

As for the articles being hard to find, could we add redirects for common mispellings? A lot of people misspell Apparatus. I don't know how to do redirects though. Millancad 23:04, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

Who keeps ruining this page

Every now and then I check back and there is this one part of the page that should not be there, it says something like "This is the best band ever, hahahhahaha" or something like that. Whoever is doing that please stop, if it does not have anything to do with the band, do not add it in the page!

Everyone please remember that this is an encyclopedia, it is not appropriate to talk about how great the band is, or even to yell at people who do so in the article. I deleted a rant in the discography, I assume it wasn't replacing real information. Brynstick 23:21, 2 January 2007 (UTC)

Demo vs. Release

Someone should put in the article mentioning the Release sounds ALOT more clearer than the Demo version. In addition, there's no trouble comprehending the screaming parts in the song (This is most notable in In Fate's Hands) and screaming has been reduced (a major plus in my book).

Reliable sources

I have removed all unverified information from the article. Please be careful to cite reliable sources for all information you add to this (and any other) article, and note that Wikipedia does not allow original research. More info

There is more info in the iTunes bio on the band, but how could we source it if we added it to the article? icelandic hurricane #12 (talk) 20:30, 15 January 2007 (UTC)

Add the following after information taken from the iTunes biography: <ref name="itunes">[http://itunes-url/ Page title], iTunes</ref>. If the information is spread out, you can use the same source again later: <ref name="itunes" />. —{admin} Pathoschild 05:10, 19 January 2007 (UTC)

Pre-2006 Demos/Releases

The article only mentions the 2006 Demo CD, however the band was around for 3 years prior to that. I believe that they have other releases that should be mentioned. I have a self titled album from 2005 with the following info:

Perhaps find some more info about this album and add any relevant info to the article?

Well the article for that is called Ass Shaker/Justify/Face Down EP. so if you have any info to add, which u probably do from the looks of it, go for it. but first, if you can, i would get a picture of the album cover you have on wikipedia, but you need an account to upload pictures. Good luck! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Icelandic Hurricane (talkcontribs) 21:15, 22 February 2007 (UTC).

I Found this with this track listing:

The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus - Demo Tour EP

1. Ass Shaker

2. Justify

3. Face Down

any information? Fobluis 13 April 2007 12:54

Check out this article: Ass Shaker/Justify/Face Down EP Chubbles 21:12, 13 April 2007 (UTC)
Actually, hm...it looks like maybe the information on that page is actually about a different demo release...Yeah, it looks like that's going to have to get cleaned up. Whatever the 13-track demo is, it's not an EP; that should have its own article. Chubbles 21:14, 13 April 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, i know about Ass Shaker/Justify/Face Down EP, the 13-track demo is not an EP, and yes, this need get cleaned up. I Think about the 13-track Demo name, maybe is The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus (Demo)Fobluis 17:13 13 April 2007

Should be fixed now. Chubbles 23:47, 13 April 2007 (UTC)

New EP

They came out w/ a new ep, AOL Sessions Undercover. You cant get to it from the all albums page though. i found it from my alerts. It features a new track, Outside. Now we need to update the article. icelandic hurricane #12 (talk) 18:50, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

Pop punk band

What is it that makes the RJA a pop punk band? I see them as an emo band with influence from the pop punk and post hardcore genres. The singing is often comparable of that of hawthorne heights, and they are certainly an emo band. Also, you should listen to the dramatic getting by or love seat if you want to see how they are emo rather than pop punk. The grim goodbye is probaly one of the best songs in the emo genre. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 82.47.168.148 (talk) 14:08, 15 April 2007 (UTC).

i label them as a pop punk/emo band. yeah, they, to me, sound like hawthorne heights cleaned out the screamo slightly. but what you must remember is 1. rja calls themselves pop punk 2. hawthorne heights is pop punk, classified both by the media and by themselves. 66.57.12.148 22:35, 16 April 2007 (UTC)

RJA is not emo and Hawthorne Heights are not Screamo. If you are going to dispute genres, you should learn a thing or two about them.

This is in no way pop punk or anything close to punk; definitely Emo.
You have NO idea what emo is
They are emo, since they talk about emotional stuff. They are not rock, or post rock, or post hardcore rock or whatever people call it, they are too soft to be associated with rock. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.4.65.199 (talk) 12:14, 31 August 2007 (UTC)

Alternative

I would like to know why this band is not the least bit Alternative rock. I consider RJA Alternative Rock/Pop punk with a little Screamo. Please explain.

Alternative rock has no screamo

Name origin.

I came here in search of the origin of the bands name. some one should add that

I'm pretty sure it's just nonsense; they put three words together more or less at random. Chubbles 13:44, 23 July 2007 (UTC)

RJA is not Emo

Emo is a whole completely differend genre. RJA is not emo, they are post-hardcore. It doesn't matter which maggazine or reviewer or whatever thinks they are, they're not. That's as dumb as saying blessthefall are screamo! It's just stupid! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.178.120.88 (talk) 01:01, August 29, 2007 (UTC)

Cite your sources and you can remove it. If you can dig up reliable sources that say "Red Jumpsuit Apparatus is not emo", I'll buy it. Otherwise, the opinions of reviewers are really all that we have to go on to source genres. Chubbles 02:16, 29 August 2007 (UTC)

History

A lot of the history about the DVD is clearly promotional and has no place in an encyclopedic article. I am removing the promotional bits of that paragraph and hope there are no objections.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.112.86.89 (talkcontribs)

Good call Chubbles 22:34, 13 September 2007 (UTC)

umm NNOOO they arnt

do u think they would let an emo band tour for teen suicide? what would be the point of that it would be like promoting suicide. THEY ARE NOT emo. just because they sing about emotions doesnt make them emo. they sing about real life things and i admire that. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 204.38.105.14 (talk) 14:16, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
