Talk:The Reasoning

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I'm contesting the speedy deletion on the grounds of notability of the band.

Wikipedia:Notability (music) states:

A musician or ensemble (note that this includes a band, singer, rapper, orchestra, hip hop crew, DJ, musical theatre group, etc.) is notable if it meets any one of the following criteria:

The criteria under which I contest the speedy deletion is point 6:

Contains at least one member who was once a part of or later joined a band that is otherwise notable...

The article stated that Matthew Cohen (bass) and Rachel Jones (vocals) were both members of notable bands (in that the bands each have their own Wiki pages). Matthew Cohen was bassist with Magenta (Welsh band) and Rachel Jones was lead singer with Karnataka. I have now added to the article that she has also won Best Female singer at the Classic Rock Society Awards for an unprecedented 4 consecutive years.

I have added extra information in that the band's album was produced by notable record producer (Dave Meegan and features a guest appearance by Steve Rothery of Marillion.

I have added correct links to these bands where appropriate, and updated information on the page.

I removed the tag in response to the new information. DarkSaber2k 17:30, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
