The lyrics of this song is rather simple, with questions being asked throughout the entire song. It strongly shows the curiosity of human beings towards the Nature. Human beings are often very curious about the environment they live in. They require certain level of comfort and security.Therefore, assumptions are often made to self-explain. The lyrics also expresses doubts on these assumptions. What the lyricist wants is the true connotation of some natural phenomenon. The message conveyed is very challengous and also adventurous.

The rainbow connnection can be seen as a bridge connecting human beings and the majesti nature. Rainbows are known to be an idealistic icon for hope. Its physical structure can be interpretated as a bridge linking the curious human and the the mysterious nature.It shows the optimistic mindset of the lyricist in searching the true significance of the nature. There is a way to bring us closerto what we have yet to know, which can be much more fantastic.

In addition, the rainbow connection may also imply the path to an idealised world. Rainbows connect the Earth to the sky, which a symbol for a fantasy land, where all the dreams find their homes. In this way, the rainbow connection expresses the desire for a perfect space.
