[edit] Cleanup request and stub cat

An extremely long article that essentially says... almost nothing, thus the stub category.

When was it formed? What is its task? What have it proposed/done? Why is it controversial? Who opposes it? Who supports it? How does it compare to other similar councils worldwide? -- Nabla 03:13, 16 July 2005 (UTC)

The existing text also looks suspiciously like a copy-vio (although I wasn't able to actually find evidence of this). I think it would be simpler to throw out the existing article content and start essentially from scratch. Neilc 07:24, 28 August 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Criticisms Section

This stub/article direly needs a criticism section, seeing as many intelligent scientists have regarded it (properly) as a unscientific puppet organization for inane political lobbies (at least one resigning from it for this reason). One good source for critiques is Gregory Stock's "Redesigning Humans", in part a response to Fukuyama's "Our Posthuman Future" and other writings associated with the council. --Xris0 (talk) 22:49, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
