Added WikiProject Journalism|class=Start; assessed for WikiProject California at class=Start; importance=Low.

This looks like a B class article in some respects, but the bulk of it is too heavily weighted to the last two years, I think. Things that are mentioned in the lead should also be in the main text, such as the Synanon story. It could use a few photos.--Hjal (talk) 06:08, 6 May 2008 (UTC)

I wrote much of the last-two-years section and agree that it should be better balanced with earlier history. The reason for the imbalance is that, since Plotkin bought the Light, the "paper trail" of secondary source references has been easy to follow--hence all the footnoted additions. Before then, the trail is more obscure. Probably the best source is a book Mitchell himself wrote on the history of the Light, with an emphasis on the Pulitzer-winning series. I don't know of any third-party account, but obviously, that would be useful here. Barte (talk) 16:34, 6 May 2008 (UTC)
