[edit] Basil Hallward

Why exactly does it state that a character named 'Hallward' is in the film, but it's a she and her first name isn't Basil? I've never seen the movie, but I don't remember anyone with the last name Hallward in the book besides Basil and he isn't mentioned anywhere in the article. Did they replace him with a female character or something?
