[edit] Ibara
-We should also change Ibara to Victory because D.J. told me himself and I quote "Yes, the Travelers won Ibara...but at a steep cost." There you have it. Jason Garrick 03:27, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Denduron
-I think we should change Denduron to Victory because Bobby states several times in later books that he won there. Jason Garrick 03:15, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Kill this page
Yeah Bok nine isnt Pilgrims of Rayne. I plan to delete it if people agree. This is a copy of Booj 8's atricle
No, it was redirected, this is still the book 8 page. Mmm122 20:15, 8 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Merge
I stand by this article needing merging of content so please do not remove the notice without further discussion. Just to let you know, I voted to keep this article in it's recent WP:AFD so I don't have any problem with the articles but the content really does need some work so it presents a much more coherent idea. For example, if this is a series of books, the coverage of the characters should be done in a single page rather than repeating the information in two separate articles. The Reality Bug and The_Merchant_of_Death both cover the characters, but presumably the overview article doesn't have any information about the characters. If you want ideas, please see The Dark Tower (series), which does an excellent job of covering the characters in the main article, while covering details about each of the books (release date) and major plot points in the each of the series books. --Reflex Reaction 03:28, 31 October 2005 (UTC)
- Sorry. I just don't get the merge, as I'm starting to edit thid. Thank you. The content is good on Reality Bug, you say? I did that one, and Quillan Games, though Quillan can't be that great because it hasn't come out. Please cont. talking here. WP:AFD? Penman the Egyptian 22:28, 1 November 2005 (UTC)
-
- Actually what I said was that I don't have anything against these articles (I voted to keep it rather than delete it) but if you are looking for ideas, please check out the The Dark Tower (series) articles because they are excellent. You can learn about formatting and what is appropriate or inappropriate to put into the article. I will help you along with your edits if you would like --Reflex Reaction 22:49, 1 November 2005 (UTC)
Thanks Penman the Egyptian 00:47, 5 November 2005 (UTC)
You should look at the article Pendragon - Journal of an Adventure Through Time and Space. It's a different article about the same series of books. I think whoever made it didn't know about this article. Does anyone have a problem if I merge some of it's content into this article? Jonathan W 23:50, 14 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] The Quillian Games
I just created an article for The Quillian Games. Any help with it would be great Link9er 19:22, 9 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Courtney Chetwynde merged here
See Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Courtney Chetwynde. Johnleemk | Talk 14:35, 7 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Shorten the article
There's a long long LONG report at the beginning of the article. I think it will discourage people who want to learn about Pendragon. Does anyone have an objection if I delete it (maybe move some of it's content into The Merchant of Death) and replace it with something shorter?Jonathan W 14:42, 17 March 2006 (UTC)
Oh yeah, and in the section ACOLYTES there's a subsection called COURTNEY CHETWYNDE. I think I should delete that too, because we already describe Courtney in the list of characters. Jonathan W 14:48, 17 March 2006 (UTC)
Well, I got rid of the long summary at the beginning of the article, along with the Courtney Chetwynde subsection. The summary was good, but just needed to be shortened. Jonathan W 16:24, 23 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Minor characters
Could I ask everyone not to add any minor characters to the Characters Subsection? For example, someone put Boon in the list of Characters instead of in Black Water. Thanks. Jonathan W 20:48, 30 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Expanding Articles
I was wondering whether we should create seperate pages for each of the sections on the Pendragon series page. I think the Pendragon series article is too long as it is now, but the sections in it are quite limited. I would be happy to write/expand the sections into article quality, as long as I had some help. If we did so, then the main article could focus on the series in general, and each article could go into more detail about the topic it covers. I was just wondering if anyone had any input.
--Primate#101 16:51, 6 May 2006 (UTC)
P.S. This would probably remove any further chance of this article being nominated for deletion again.
I agree. This article seems to not be detailed enough. It would be easier to make them better in individual articles. 207.81.56.39 03:00, 22 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Pendragon series articles lack in proper encyclopedic format!
[edit] Release date
In the box at the side, it says: "Released {{{release_date}}}" I don't know how to fix it, but it should be fixed. 71.123.19.163 19:04, 2 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Über-Cleanup
If you ask me, Pendragon series and all articles related to it are in a horrible state. They are either poorly formatted, copyvio, or don't have enough information to substantiate themselves at articles. For one, too little is known about each and every Traveler, so they shouldn't have articles of their own. There's more, but I can't remember it all.--the ninth bright shiner talk 02:05, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Steam shovels!!
My apologies for having never heard of the Pendragon Adventure (which I may now investigate - looks an interesting read!)
An unregistered user has added a section to steam shovel claiming that these machines are prominent in "the First Earth series" (sic). As I don't know the books, I don't know whether to copy-edit the comments (which they need) or delete them as false.
Could someone with the appropriate knowledge check facts please?
EdJogg 09:14, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
- Wow. That is totally random (Sura doesn't exist in Pendragon). I deleted it.
- Verin 23:29, 24 December 2006 (UTC)
- Huh... someone put it back up. Maybe there is a different series called the "First Earth" series, and Wikipedia doesn't know about it?
- Verin 02:41, 8 January 2007 (UTC)
With respect, no-one put it back, you only deleted one of the two paragraphs referring to "the First Earth series"... However, thank you for your edit and your comments here. Further investigations suggest that the text was completely made-up and unrelated to First Earth. I have now deleted the offending text from steam shovel -- if it is important enough, someone will put it back (with references!) in due course.
You may be interested in the article Argo (First Earth) which was added to considerably by the same anon editor. This also appears to be completely made-up, and I have proposed it for deletion (per WP:PROD). My reasoning is at Talk:Argo (First Earth) but I would be quite happy if anyone knowing The Pendragon Adventure can provide the evidence to keep it.

[edit] Dystopia
Both Veelox and Quillian are described in the Trivia section as "Dystopian." Veelox is actually "anti-utopian." Dystopian countries/states/etc. have a authoritarian or totalitarian government (like Quillian with Blok), while anti-utopian countries/states/etc. have the characteristics of a utopia but a fatal flaw. This describes Veelox really well, don't you think? I think we should change the sentence saying both fallen territories are dystopian to "a form of dystopia." What say you?
Quick question for grammarians out there: My spell-checker says utopian has to be capitalized. Is this true or not?
Verin 02:41, 8 January 2007 (UTC)
- This dictionary link suggests 'Utopian' is more usual, if you are comparing (whatever) to Utopia. However, lower-case would be used if you were referring to 'utopia' (An impractical, idealistic scheme for social and political reform.), whose meaning has presumably been grown from the original idea of Utopia. On the other hand, dystopia is always lower-case, as it does not refer to a specific country.
- Your spell-checker has probably only been programmed to recognise the one form. Don't assume that a spellchecker is always right! (does not and doe snot are both accepted as 'correct' by all spellchecking programs!!!)

[edit] how long

[edit] Nonsense
"When there is a new Acolyte, the old Acolyte does not die; for instance, Tom Dorney, the previous acolyte from Second Earth , remained alive when Mark and Courtney became the acolytes of Bobby, and so you know Tom Dorney was Press Tilton's Acolyte." Is it just me, or does that last part not make sense? Should the sentence just end after the name Bobby? Because I don't see how the fact that acolytes don't die when their Traveler does tells us that Tom was Press's acolyte. Everything after "Bobby" should be deleted. Your thoughts? [edit] What the heck?
I found the following near the end of the Pendragon thread:
Ibara: Siry Siry is the son of Remudi. He is the leader of a group of outcasts called the "Jakills". He originally doesn't believe anything Bobby says about travellers, but soon finds out when Bobby takes him through the flume. Siry is now unable to return to Ibara, because Bobby destroyed the flume, trapping himself and Saint Dane, in the process.
I am pretty sure that is not a part of any Pendragon book released thus far. Please state where this information came from.

[edit] Nonsense Poster
I have noticed that, several times, 70.72.173.51 has posted irrelevant and unnecessary content. If you compare his contributions to the ones before them, they are all basically spamming. This is to let any future editors know so that they can look out for his/her edits and correct them. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Laptopdude (talk • contribs) 23:37, 7 May 2007 (UTC).
[edit] Convergence Possibilities
does anybody know what the Convergence could be?
Could it be that each territory has a second turning point? What about a third? What do you think will happen?--Chikinpotato11 19:55, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
i think that the former travelers picked the new travelers. didn't you see how the previous traveler was still alive when the new traveler was picked?--74.138.108.174 00:12, 30 May 2007 (UTC)--74.138.108.174 00:14, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Past Characters
I have added my contributions to this page in the form of a list of the "Past Travelers." I think that these characters are important to know because they might come into play in the ninth or tenth book. Email me with any comments on my adding on of the past characters. Thanks!

[edit] Crystals?
I don't know what this ninth book title here is. If you google crystals of menandwana, you get a pendragon fan fiction. I think it should be removed.
[edit] Still needs cleanup
For instance various quigs are mentioned on the different worlds but I have no idea what a quig is. If they are that common a series overview such as this article should include a brief description of what they are and their purpose.--209.7.195.158 13:47, 30 August 2007 (UTC)
agreed, i tried to find something about quigs but there isn't anything here about them, other than the fact that they exist. my roommate reads this and I came here for information, but it appears to be nothing more than a summary of the books and some speculation on what's going to happen in the next books. [edit] Pendragon Wiki
Ok, with the articles here not being very in depth, and always being changed and moved around, me and a few others made a Wiki for Pendragon. Vist it at www.hallawiki.wiki-site.com 142.68.64.26 (talk) 03:45, 24 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Citations Needed
This article not only needs additional citations, it needs any citations. I'll be replacing the template. Teh Rote (talk) 23:29, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Territory Victories?
So in the second to last chapter of Raven Rise, Saint Dane announces to the Ravinians that Zadaa that the Rokador were planning an attack and that Ibara would soon be under siege. Does this mean that the territories have fallen or should we just wait until the next book? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.121.149.105 (talk) 04:21, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Up to date
I am trying to bring all the articles and sections up to date... some defiantly need revision. Thanks! Ehccheehcche (talk) 01:12, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
