[edit] GA Review

This review is transcluded from Talk:The Paperboys/GA1. The edit link for this section can be used to add comments to the review.

  • "their music has been called versatile, with a wide range" - this is quite broad, can you say anything more specific?
  • This passage was a summary for lead from the passages here and here. I thought it was alright to summarize into the lead like this? Based on that, and expanding and clarifying it like this, how does that look? rootology (T)
  • It looks much better now, the original wasn't really saying anything IMO... Fine now. dihydrogen monoxide (H2O) 07:25, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
  • "An award-winning band, their first three studio albums have received Juno Award nominations" - the "an award-winning band" isn't really necessary considering what you say next...
  • I took that out. rootology (T) 14:35, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
  • "the Paperboys have extensively toured" - should the T in the Paperboys be capitalised?
  • I got this one, plus a few others I found. rootology (T) 14:35, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
  • "The Paperboys released their first studio album, Late as Usual, in 1995, which with their next albums Molinos in 1998 and Postcards in 2001 have all received Juno Award nominations, with Molinos winning in the Roots and Traditional Album of the Year category." - reword please, this is choppy and all over the place
  • "In reviews for Molinos, it was noted..." - you only cite one review, so the plural shouldn't be used
  • Fixed that. rootology (T) 02:49, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
  • Is there very little information about the band out there? The history information seems a bit lacking...
  • Theres apparently a ton more, but it's buried behind news pay walls (their being more of an underground thing after their Juno success didn't help). I already mailed the band, asking for more news sources. rootology (T) 14:35, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
  • Newspapers/magazines/etc. in references need italics (MOS:ITALICS)
  • I got all of these. rootology (T) 14:35, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
  • "In music reviews, Tom Landa's songwriting has been cited as world-class" - cite more reviews or keep it singular, and say who called it world class
  • I fixed that too. rootology (T) 02:50, 29 May 2008 (UTC)

All set on all points (I hope) and note left for you. Thanks. :) rootology (T) 03:27, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
Alright, I think I'm out of sources that aren't behind pay walls now. How does it look? rootology (T) 06:47, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
Awesome, all else looks good, so passing. dihydrogen monoxide (H2O) 07:42, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
