[edit] Original cover artwork
If anyone has a copy of the original 1988 version (with the cover art of the closeup view of the woman's face with black lipstick), could you please double-check the inside cover to verify the cover artist? According to ISFDB, it is Gary Ruddell. But the 2002 re-issue cover art is also Gary Ruddell, which would be a little odd. Specifically, it isn't that unusual that the publisher re-issued the book and decided to use new cover art (that happens all the time), but what's odd is that they went back to the *same artist* for the new cover art. It's certainly possible; but also unusual. Since I don't have the 1988 version myself, if you have it and can double-check that would be great to ensure the artwork is properly attributed. - I have the 1988 edition in front of me and it is the same artist, Gary Ruddell. Liblamb 13:37, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
