[edit] The single and music video
I don't understand the last paragraph. Who are these "chartal experts"? A lot of it seems like Yoda-speak to me. - Musiclover 06:54, 13 September 2005 (UTC)
The last paragraph makes sense to me. To paraphrase, chart analysts believe that if "The One" had been given a proper chance to become a single, Mariah would have came out of her flopping period sooner, because it practically is WBT in a lot of ways. They noted that WBT and The One both were produced by Jermaine Dupri, both featured the fast style of singing, and both had great crossover appeal into charting on every major market. - Maybe ballad isn't the right word. WBT is more of a slow jam (and The One is definitely not a ballad, but a slow jam works better in comparing the two) OmegaWikipedia 06:44, 15 September 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Merge to 'Boy (I Need You)'
I suggest that the information hear concerning its replacement by 'Boy (I Need You)' be merged with the 'Boy (I Need You)' article, probably under a section titled 'Controversy' or 'Original Promotion' or what not. All additional information in this article is not necessary and could simply be deleted if this is done. User:Grey Pursuit 15 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Theone.jpg
Image:Theone.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
