Most of this article appears to be from the newspaper's website. See the Morning Call History at www.mcall.com/about/site/all-custservaboutcall,0,1086882.story. I am not sure how to bring attention to this and hope that my comment is not an inappropriate use of this page. Allreet (talk) 05:50, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
- Replaced history based on WP:CV. The Historical Society's Proceedings added certain details to the Call's history and also corrected a few errors. For example, the Sunday paper started in 1921 (1938 was the year it was renamed), and the name Evening Chronicle was adopted in 1939 (not immediately as the history implies). Also, it's not exactly clear what Trexler's relationship was to the takeover, but the Proceedings identify David Miller as one of the partners. The Proceedings can be relied on to the extent that Miller had a hand in writing Schlecter's account on the history of local newspapers.Allreet (talk) 08:09, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
