[edit] Birth of a Nation
Note that Chesnutt's The Marrow of Tradition (published in 1901) cannot be a historical "direct refutation" of either D.W. Griffith's film, The Birth of a Nation (released in 1915), or Dixon's book, The Clansman (published in 1905), upon which Griffith's film was based. Profrawilson 20:46, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
