( The Man from Snowy River >< The Man from Snowy River (poem) )
No. The poem isn't clearly the dominant or likeliest subject of interest to someone searching for "The Man from Snowy River", so I'd prefer to see this page retained separately - but rewritten as a proper disambiguation page. Lainagier (talk) 02:43, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
- Well, I went ahead and WP:MOSDABbed it a bit. If The Man from Snowy River (poem) were moved to The Man from Snowy River, this page would make a reasonably useful The Man from Snowy River (disambiguation). Lainagier (talk) 04:34, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
- I don't undertand the statement: "The poem isn't clearly the dominant or likeliest subject of interest to someone searching for 'The Man from Snowy River'". I disagree. I think the poem has much more relevance to any such search than either the film or TV series. Twenty years ago this might have been different but not today. I would want to see the poem's page remain a separate entity. It is the main source of the material. Perry Middlemiss (talk) 12:04, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
- I'm not entirely sure I'm reading you correctly (please forgive me if I'm not). Am I right in saying we disagree on what users might be looking for, but we agree that The Man from Snowy River (poem) and The Man from Snowy River should remain distinct pages? I'm very happy to agree on that. Lainagier (talk) 13:49, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
- It seems that we are in agreement just not getting our points across properly. Put plainly, I'd like to see a page for the poem and a separate page for the film. Perry Middlemiss (talk) 23:09, 13 April 2008 (UTC)

If there are no twelfth-hour objections, I'm going to go ahead and close this proposal out as rejected. Lainagier (talk) 11:33, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
