[edit] WAY too many refs
This article has way too many ref links. Life? Poison? Purpose? I mean, come on! Maybe some things, but not so many. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.214.180.171 (talk) 02:44, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Cleanup!
A tentative outline of my plans for this article (and consequently of various associated articles):
- Synopses of the overall plot and the individual books.
- A (brief!) note on criticisms of the series (including repetitiveness and inconsistency).
- Move out the characters to a separate list for the whole saga (probably Characters in The Belgariad, adopting the disputed-but-de-facto convention for naming articles about the setting.
- More articles summarising the setting (Places in The Belgariad is probably as good a title as any for an overview of geography and political boundaries).
- Consistent formatting: I think bold for series and italics for books should work, for a start (thus The Belgariad and The Malloreon, but Pawn of Prophecy or Belgarath the Sorcerer).
Better ideas? Assistance? -- Perey 06:21, 23 Apr 2005 (UTC)
Your post seems to have been made quite while ago, but being a fan of the works of Eddings I would like to help firm up the articles. So if your still around and want to work together on it...
[edit] Disciples
I dunno who keeps throwing all these random people into the Disciples box. Garion, Poledra, and definitely Ce'Nedra have never been Aldur's disciples. 68.225.242.19 03:29, 6 February 2006 (UTC)
Belgarion is definately a disciple, the others aren't. PresN 18:44, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
Belgarion is definately, Ce'Nedra is not, if anything she might now be a disciple of Ul, Poledra I would say is, while not outwardly stated it is implied. Haplopeart 16:04, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
All throughtout Polgara the Sorceress, Polgara mentions that Aldur called to Poledra the same way he did the others. So Poledra is certainally worthly of the title disicple. Ce'Nedra on the other hand is not.Wild ste 20:58, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Sadi
Not sure who decided that Ussa and Sadi were the same person, but this is wrong. Ussa was Sadi's predecessor. What happened to him is not known.
