The following information was removed and reinstated many times. Can someone confirm this?
- Charo holds the record as the celebrity with the most appearances on the show.

[edit] A mistake?
Wasn't Eight is Enough also a one-hour show with a laugh track? Dec 28, 2004
- You are correct. Mike H 08:23, Apr 28, 2005 (UTC)
[edit] List of guest stars
This is massive and basically just lists whoever acted on any television series back in the 1970s. I don't see this really adding anything to the article. If I don't hear any objections soon, I'm going to remove it entirely. Mike H. That's hot 00:24, 30 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Pilot
Was the series based on an earlier hour long movie, didnt captain Stubing go under the name of Captain Stewart, or was it based on a made-for-television pilot that never aired?
- Yes. The TV series was based upon an (i think, made-for-TV) movie with an entirely different cast. (I saw part of it before the series, and most of it later, during the run of the series.) I don't know if it was intended as a pilot; it didn't seem like it. Mention of the movie should be included in this article. —StationaryTraveller 00:35, 11 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Trivia too minor for the article - DVD
I didn't think this warranted an entry on the article but sadly this show has yet to come to dvd, unlike its sister show Fantasy Island. JohnCub 16:02, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
- Is there any indication that this show will ever come to DVD? PolarisSLBM 00:59, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Practically a stub!
It's odd that so little information on the series is in the article — info about the cross-season storylines involving characters (e.g., the Captain turning out to have a daughter, Julie moving to Australia, etc.) or about any controversial or first-time storylines. I'll see what I can do ... it's not as if it were landmark television, I know, but the article should be more informative than this by half. Lawikitejana 02:53, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] South Park parody
south park made fun of this show in the episode "Red Hot Catholic Love". Fegor (talk) 14:39, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
