Talk:The Long Revelation

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Google gives less than 100 results for "the long revelation". I'm concerned that this article is a violation of our policies of WP:NOR or WP:SYN. Please provide references so this article won't have to be deleted. coelacan — 01:59, 2 April 2007 (UTC)

Is google the arbitor of what exists? I understand the rules, but this is an emerging doctrine among christians who have stepped out of the young earth box. If the earth can be older than 6000 years then why can't Revelation play out over a century or more, and why do the plagues therein match so closely with aspects of the present doom presented by environmentalists and peak oil theorists? I suppose it could fall under the heading of Christian Eschatolology as a sub-topic.

Google is not the arbitor. However it's often an indicator of when something is original research. The sources you've provided here do not suggest that there is any such belief system. It appears to be a synthesis of original research. I will ask some other editors to have a look here. coelacan — 21:47, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
The article fails notability criteria. Please add references to reliable sources that talk about "Long Revelation". Note: Wikipedia and other wikis are not reliable sources. --Kevinkor2 11:11, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
For example, when I searched the web for "Long Revelation" escatology, I saw a mention of a book by Kevin Conner. If relevant, this book could be used as a reference for this article. However, there would still need to be some independant source to establish notability; for example, a book review in a Christian magazine. --Kevinkor2 11:46, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

I will look into it. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by HondoMicroHydro (talkcontribs) 00:43, 6 April 2007 (UTC).
