Talk:The London Encyclopaedia

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Note on naming. It is "The London Encyclopaedia", and is not merely the "London Encyclopaedia".

Not to be confused with the Encyclopaedia Londonensis, 24 vol 1810, though in contemporary literature it is sometimes cited The London EncyclopadiaApwoolrich 17:55, Jun 28, 2004 (UTC)

[edit] NPOV

I question the neutrality of this article, with its statement that the book "unarguably lives up to the back cover plaudit..." To quote one review on amazon.co.uk, "Unfortunately there are many errors, some very bad..." Similar views have been expressed to me by more than one local history librarian in London. I'm not proposing that any negative criticism be introduced to the article but I believe that the favourable remarks should be removed or rephrased. Russ London 13:09, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
