Talk:The Legend of Bagger Vance
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Someone should add a "Plot" section. I haven't seen this movie.

[edit] This article needs help
This should ideally be two articles; one for the movie, one for the book (the book article being the primary one, since the book was written first). However, before that can happen, this article needs to be fixed. There needs to be a plot summary, and we can point out differences in the book and the movie (there are many), and go from there. I don't know how much I can contribute to this right away, but I will try as best as I can. --CanesOL79 15:04, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
- I've added a 'differences' section which deals with the big ones.Burns flipper 11:39, 2 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Movie Plot Summary
I have not read the book, but in the absence of a book plot summary in the article, I have added a movie plot summary for the time being.John ISEM 16:50, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
This summary is inaccurate. The match did not take place over 4 days as stated. The first two rounds were played on Saturday, and the final two were played on Sunday. This is specifically stated in the movie.
[edit] Symbolism
The article should probably deal with the symbolism in the story(Its references to the Indian epic The Bhagavad-Gita, which is pretty prevalent in the story line and the characters. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by TheLedBalloon (talk • contribs) 21:12, 24 April 2007 (UTC).
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Bagger vance moviep.jpg
Image:Bagger vance moviep.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
