[edit] Major overhaul

I worked for an hour or two and have eliminated most if not all of the blatant plagiarism and advertisement-like nature of the article, as well as adding information about former members and providing some much needed references. I don't know what the standard format (if any) for this type of subject is, so anyone who wants to come in and re-arrange is more than welcome to do so.
