In this Seinfeld episode, the current Summary explains that actor, Wilfred Brimley's US Postmaster General was based upon his role as the sinister security chief in "The Firm", when in actuality is was based upon his character as THE U.S. ATTORNEY GENERAL in the earlier film, "ABSENCE OF MALICE" starring Paul Newman, Sally Field and BOB BALABAN.
