[edit] Jetsons' mechanic

What was the name of the Jetsons mechanic fix it guy? Does anyone have a picture of him?

Steve

His name was Henry Orbit. This is his picture (kind of small): [1]

What was the name of the city that the Jetson's lived in?68.232.66.64 16:31, 21 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Creator of the Jetsons

I was wondering who actually created the Jetsons? Can anyone help?!?!

Hanna-Barbera Productions. Unless you refer to the specific people who came up with the series' idea, for which I don't know. Anthony Dean 18:14, 19 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] The surface world?

George's second cousin Phil Richbourg grew up beneath the smog and pollution on Earth's surface. Is this accurate? I don't recall anything mentioned about the surface world in the show at all. Anthony Dean 18:14, 19 March 2006 (UTC)

I rememeber a scene where they showed the ground, and it was not polluted. I think the idea of it being polluted came from one of the TV movies. DesignForDreamingFan 04:14, 12 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Episode Listings

The episode listings at tv.com, at the linked fan site, and on [The Jetsons FAQ] all contradict the listings on this page. There doesn't seem to be much agreement on episode numering or order, but every other site lists 41 episodes for season 2, as opposed to the 24 listed here. Also, there's no #25 in the listing? Falcotron 04:07, 28 May 2006 (UTC)

I found a more complete episode listing at [BCDB], which contains the same episodes as tv.com and the other sites, but actually has air dates for all of them, which allowed me to put them in order. Someone might want to look at the table and make sure the order and numbering are right. Falcotron 04:38, 28 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Trivia?

These trivia were added but I cannot find anything on the net that supports them.

  • George Jetson's middle name was 'Washington'.
  • Rosie the robot maid's model number was XKE - the same model number as the 1962 Jaguar.

anyone have a source? -Ravedave 22:42, 2 August 2006 (UTC)

The Jetsons have been the subject of a highly sexualized parody cartoon series.

I beleive that hoever posted this is refering to the highly popular and incest prone "cartoon porn" Done by the artist know as JAB who drew a series of pictures involing most of the main cast with number of them centering george and judy.

"Their extremely simplistic and basic necessity in mechanics, and their similarities, juxtaposed with Cogswell's incessant offers to hire George away from Spacely, gives the show an eerily campy feeling." I don't understand why this is campy, why it's eerie, or how it's trivia rather than an opinion or impression. 66.194.65.196 23:42, 31 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Anachronisms

I'm removing the "anachronisms" from the trivia list - the show is over 40 years old - obviously it won't be a technically accurate vision of the future. To point out "mistakes" such as the Jetsons playing records instead of CDs is silly; it's like saying The Flintstones had bowling alleys, but in reality cavemen never had bowling alleys. It's a cartoon. Pufnstuf 21:54, 15 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] See also

Under the "See Also" section, I replaced The Simpsons with Futurama because the Jetsons is some what more similar to Futurama than the The Simpsons. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 209.244.187.117 (talk) 21:00, 11 May 2007 (UTC).

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Fgjetsonspoof.png

Image:Fgjetsonspoof.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] a missing character

There was a pet with suction cups too he was some sort of space pet. Purple I believe. Any info on it would be appreciated, I have wondered about it from time to time and none of my friends recalled it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Anne(68.205.252.165 (talk) 01:12, 27 February 2008 (UTC))

[edit] In other languages

What happened to the international title list? NBK1122 (talk) 13:00, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

It's was just a list of the interwiki articles, which already has a built-in listing at the left panel of the page. Redundant. - BillCJ (talk) 20:59, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Elroy Jetson

Any reason why Elroy doesn't have a page, or even a section for that matter? DanMat6288 (talk) 15:49, 14 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Muppet Babies in "Parodies" section and Electrasol commercials

I can't remember the name and looking at a list of Muppet Babies episode titles didn't help any, so does anyone remember the Muppet Babies episodes that had all sorts of sci-fi spoofs? It was mainly Star Wars/Star Trek references, but the Jetsons are parodied when Kermit (as George) and Piggy (as Jane) crash their flying car while a parody of the Jetsons theme song plays (with the lyrics repeating everything they say). Anyone remember this? If a parody section we must have, it definitely belongs among them--IMO, probably the funniest Jetsons parody too.

By the way, does anyone know if the Electrasol commercial(s) with the Jetsons are an ongoing thing? I've only seen one fleetingly but I've heard there are a couple. Might be noteworthy for the trivia section if so. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.21.189.166 (talk) 23:55, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
