[edit] Early comments
I removed the future television show tag, as three episodes have been shown. I provided some structure, and edited the premise slightly. I started an episode list with small synopses. I started a rating section which hopefully someone with more understanding can edit.
It would be helpful to have a logo for the show added, as well as perhaps a photo of Janice.
Do people think that we should nix the "prospective model" section? Or can someone keep it up? Perhaps it could be trimmed just to those who get storylines.
I added a photo from the oxygen press kit. i did not know how to choose this option for licensing, so someone who knows what they are doing please: 1. fix the license, or the photo will go away in 7 days and 2. thumbnail size the photo, please.
- I took out the prospective model part, since it doesn't flow with the tables and the list of names isn't very useful since it's not very pertinant to the agency itself. 71.57.148.80 07:39, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Cancelled?
Why has an end date been posted? Was it confirmed anywhere that it won't be returning for a third season? M.Factor 22:15, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Synopsis and Premise?
Do these really need to be separate sections? Otto4711 17:08, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
Nope. Looks better your way.
[edit] Agencies
We need to make a seperate article about the agency, so we can include it with the modeling agencies category. Lil Flip246 01:47, 18 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Final model rosters
Someone wanna double check me on the names? I'm pretty sure I got everyone classified right but another pair of eyes are always helpful. Otto4711 03:30, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

- I'll go back on my tivo and check your list... but I went ahead and made some tables so the lists look a little easier on the eyes (I hope!) hehe.. 71.57.148.80 07:26, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

What about Alexis Hutt from Susanville, Ca for Season 3? Goldlore (talk) 09:11, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] IP addy edits
Just FYI to everyone.. the tables created yesterday for the rosters were done by me.. I thought I was logged in.. doh Bsheppard 22:26, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Ratings section
I'd like to remove the The_Janice_Dickinson_Modeling_Agency#Ratings_and_Critical_Reception section, since it is based on opinions without proper citations and is also rather small and insignificant to the entire article itself.
If whoever wrote it is interested in expanding it with more citations, quotes, ratings numbers, etc... I actually think it could be a great section.
Let's talk. :) Bsheppard 22:48, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
- OK, so I just went ahead and yanked it for now... You can revert back to the last version of the article if you'd like to put it back.. but I'll include the text of what I removed here, in case anyone would like to really develop and expand the section.
==Ratings and Critical Reception== The show premiered in June of 2006 to mixed reviews but--for the channel on which it is broadcast--excellent ratings. {{citation needed}} As of June 2006, the premiere episode was Oxygen's highest rated premiere.{{citation needed}}
Thanks ;) Bsheppard 23:07, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Michelle Deighton
What happened to her?? I thought she was signed with the agency?? Lil Flip246 16:54, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
- Apparently she got cut with the rest of them. She's not mentioned as being on the "Management" or "New Faces" boards. Otto4711 16:56, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
- Someone at TFS, said that Michelle said on her MySpace that she left the agency. I'm editing it on her page. Lil Flip246 17:08, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] superscripts
Hey Otto, thanks for doing the superscript footnotes for me.. I'm still learning how to do different things with wiki formatting. ;) Bsheppard 22:21, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Removed Shala Falana
Someone from an IP address added a model named "Shala Falana" and linked her name to an invalid profile on Oxygen's web site for The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency. The link did not work. I removed the model since I never heard her name before. Whoever added her name should sign in and explain where her name came from. The show is reruning the entire season today so I'll see if I see that name.
Thanks. Bsheppard 17:16, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
- Apparently our anonymous editor has a history of poor (and some would say, improper) edits. Check out the IP addy's talk page.. it's a cable modem so its likely the IP number is constantly the same.. mine hasn't changed in 2 years.. hehe. anywho. User_talk:24.227.213.34. - I take it that since Shala Lalala hasn't been added back to the article she wasn't mentioned. Regardless, the Management and New Faces boards should reflect only how the models were positioned as of the end of the season. If we're blessed with a second season then the first season info should be moved to a new main article, the second season should get its own main article and this article should serve as an overview. If Janice should sign more models then a separate JDMA about the agency itself can be created (if there isn't one already) and they can be referenced there. Otto4711 20:44, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
- Sounds good. I think that it'd be a good idea to spread out the information... The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency (the real meat and potatoes information about the company itself... staff, clients, news, etc. Then The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency (tv show) which can explain more about the show, the drama, etc... and has digest versions of each season's episodes. Then going further, create JDMA Season 1, JDMA Season 2, etc.. which would specifically deal with each season... perhaps including screenshots of episodes, headshots of the models, etc... [edit] Models during season 2
i added this section, but have not time yet to finish the season 2 models. If someone would like to do that, go ahead -- it'd be awesome ;) fjaoaoaoao
[edit] LGBT category
Red the category description. This category includes television series, made-for-television films, news, entertainment, specials and other programming which deal with or feature significant lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender characters or issues and may have same-sex romance or relationships as an important plot device. The eponymous lead of the show is bisexual. J. P. Calderon is gay and came out internationally on the show, a storyline that was covered extensively in the course of multiple episodes. Now he's dating another openly gay model on the show. Several other models on the show are openly gay, including a long-term couple. Two of Janice's confidants are openly gay. Approximately half of the clients are gay-related companies who have the models pose in "gay-provocative" ways and the discomfort that the heterosexual models often feel is a frequent topic. Two male roommate models and their ambiguous sexuality has been a repeated topic. They've done pretty much every gay thing there is short of showing the models going down on each other. Just exactly how much gayer do you expect this show to be before you'll stop removing the category? Otto4711 (talk) 19:59, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
- Thank you for explaining your reasoning on the talk page. I removed the category because it's hardly spelled out in the article and, since I don't watch the show, I don't know all the details you've spelled out. Perhaps some or all of that info could be added to the article to explain why it's in the category? That way, people unfamiliar with the show will have some inkling as to what's "LGBT related" about it. Thanks! -- SatyrTN (talk / contribs) 16:14, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
