[edit] No wisecracks
Removed reference to Ifans' character being 'wisecracking', since he does not speak at any point during the video, other than to mouth some of the lyrics of the song.
[edit] Meaning of one more line
I just reverted the changes made by 81.104.144.71. When I first heard the song I thought that the section referred to asking a doctor to lie for him, but on the printed lyrics the word is clearly line not lie. --Apyule 11:35, 30 October 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Oasis The Importance of Being Idle.jpg
Image:Oasis The Importance of Being Idle.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 05:04, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] I don't think so...
"He got the title from the Mark Twain book of the same name which he found whilst cleaning out his garage"
Mark Twain didn't write a book called "The Importance of Being Idle" and the link connects you to a book written by a one "Stephen Robins," albeit under the same name. There is, however, a play by Oscar Wilde named "The Importance of Being Earnest"; perhaps Noel was inspired by this title? This seems more likely. I would edit this, but I don't really know how (I literally just made an account) and I feel that this claim should probably have a reference to it (don't know where to find one). FYI, I beleive the title of the book he found while cleaning out his garage was used for the title of the album, Don't Beleive The Truth, not this specific song. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.56.248.74 (talk) 21:45, 30 September 2007 (UTC)
