Talk:The Iguanas (New Orleans)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I saw this on New pages, and was sure it was Afd fodder. However, allmusic has a bio on them here. I haven't looked much past that but there's a good chance they meet WP:MUSIC guidelines. Friday (talk) 20:41, 19 September 2005 (UTC)
- Their song "Boom, Boom, Boom" was in "The Documentary", an episode of Homicide: Life on the Street. Actually it was in the episode twice, or one and a half times, as it was in the episode itself and the "film within the episode" by the J. H. Brodie character. Anyway they probably are notable enough. (I'm thinking I'll add the thing about Homicide as the article is skimpy)--T. Anthony 12:32, 20 January 2007 (UTC)

- Hmm I can't find a valid source for that. I mean I know the song is in that episode as I read the lyrics to that song and it's definitely the song I heard. However all I found was forums and myspace stuff. Oh well you heard here and maybe someone else can source it.--T. Anthony 12:37, 20 January 2007 (UTC)

- I decided to use TV.com. Yes I know that cite's not very reliable, but enough other things confirm it I hope it's okay. Also being in that episode seems to be one of the things this band is best known for and it's also apparently one of the best known musical montages in the show's history.--T. [edit] disambig
I went to move this to The Iguanas, but there's another band by that name. I suppose a disambig page is in order, but I'm not sure yet what the proper titles for the articles should be. Friday (talk) 20:51, 19 September 2005 (UTC)
- There's now The Iguanas (New Orleans), The Iguanas (Ann Arbor), and a disambig page, The Iguanas. Friday (talk) 04:34, 22 September 2005 (UTC)
