I attended most home and away matches during the 1980's and I clearly remember the first time I heard this song. I remember thinking at the time that there were too many lines to remember and it wouldn't catch on. It was our first match of the season with a 3-1 win away to Stoke at the Victoria Ground. Someone might have sang the song at pre season friendlies that season but this was definately the first league match where the GCB song started LWeb 29 March 2007.

I've removed the speedy tag added to this page; it was added by a single-edit user, with no explanation. In view of the fact that this page has already survived an AfD vote it seems inappropriate to speedy it without discussion. Humansdorpie 09:57, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
