Why? I don't expect an entry for the Peel book could ever be much more than a stub. —Josiah Rowe (talkcontribs) 05:46, 14 August 2006 (UTC)

Wasn't it revealed in the "Masque of Mandragora" that the TARDIS translates foreign languages.

Why is the book listed (in several places in the article) as coming out in 1991? The Eighth Doctor wasn't even created until 1996 and the first EDA novel came out in 1997 so how would the last EDA novel come out in 1991?

[edit] TARDIS translation of foreign languages in Peel book

As reflected in the above comments, "The Masque of Mandragora" is the source of the notion that the TARDIS telepathically translates languages for those the Doctor allows to share the gift. Therefore:

Some of the book's conjectures — notably, the theory that the TARDIS telepathically translates languages for its inhabitants — were later confirmed in the television series.

has been removed from the article. Perhaps the book gives a detail about this process which isn't present in "Masque", but is later seen in the 2005 series. However, on the face of it, the statement read false. CzechOut | 18:15, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
