Inappropriate link to Paul Schafer. The text refers to a fictional character, the link refers to a real person - who is very different in character to the fictional PS.

[edit] pov

Removed from article as non-NPOV:

In his writing, Kay manages to capture what has eluded so many of his colleagues in the fantasy genre: a pervading sense of reality in his world intermingled with elements mythical and fantastical to create a complex weaving of many different tones and patterns, an almost total antithesis to the one-dimensional settings of many a fantasy book or movie. His writing is also quite merciless at times, almost (but never quite) to the point of repugnance, resulting in an emotional intensity typically lacking from the works of lesser authors.

[edit] Major rework

Expanded the whole entry and added a framework (similar to that in some other book entries) to allow further elaboration. May have too much explanation in the character list, some perhaps belongs in the summaries? (I love these books, can you tell?) Bookgrrl 02:21, 23 May 2006 (UTC)

Maybe the deities should go to the Fionavar article. Pictureuploader 07:10, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
Good idea, makes more sense to have them there and limit this page to things specific to the events of the books... Bookgrrl 11:37, 23 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fansite tag

Removed fansite tag, as this article is no more a fansite than any of the other articles about book series. It lists characters, themes, the books in the series, etc just as other similar articles do (see The Dark is Rising, Category:Earthsea novels articles, Category:Wheel of Time books articles, etc. In fact, as articls about a series go, it's pretty conservative :) --Bookgrrl holler/lookee here 16:32, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
