  • I'm indifferent about the move, however a disambiguation page needs to be created for "fifth dimension". There are two other possible "fifth dimension"s listed, another would be the mathematical concept of the fifth dimension, which is what I came to this article initially for. If this article is moved, please do not simply redirect to "The Fifth Dimension". By the way, according to Joel Whitburn's Top Pop Singles, it is "The 5th Dimension" (he's pretty good at researching these things). Thank you. Rt66lt 20:41, 2 October 2005 (UTC)
    • I'd think this would be reason to support the move (or at least, a move), otherwise the disambiguation page will have to be at Fifth Dimension (disambiguation), which would be a little pointless, surely. Even if this article were correctly titled, which it doesn't seem to be, it would hardly be the primary sense. Oh, wait: that'd be at fifth dimension. Not sure where that should disambig/redirect to: dimension? Thing is, mathematically, there's nothing very special about any numbered dimension in particular, and in physics, dimensions 5-11 are a little hypothetical, theoretically chewy, and have no obvious "numbering".   • As the one who added one of the Fifth Dimension references (the comic book one re: Mr. Mxyzptlk), I think making this a disambiguation page would be OK. For moving this page, I'd prefer renaming it to something like "Fifth Dimension (music)" (or some suffix indicating it's a music group), to distinguish it from, say, "Fifth Dimension (comics)" (Mr. Mxyzptlk's home dimension) or the mathematical concept mentioned above. Not spelt out, only number 5 witht the th is use. Look at the album covers if you need more evidence. Should be changed. Thanks. Spentcasing.

[edit] Number of grammys?

the page says 5 grammy awards. But Grammy Awards of 1968 lists 6 with their name to it - including BOTH "best performance by a vocal group" and "best performance by a choir".... strangely, if it doesn't refer to a backing choir. Or don't I know how to count? (another source said 4, which was what started me counting...) --Alvestrand 21:18, 16 September 2006 (UTC)

I've removed the line "Rivers signed the group in 1966 on the condition that they update their name and image, and thus the Fifth Dimension was born." as it appears to be direct plagiarism of Steve Huey's bio for the band at the All Music Guide here. Oscillon 02:54, 3 November 2007 (UTC)
