[edit] Wah Chang
"the union refused to allow him into their guild for the simple reason that his skills were superior to most of the guild's current members"?!? What is the source for this information? This doesn't sound very plausible to me. Rather, it sound suspiciously like a biased personal account. Or opinion, at best. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.55.216.24 (talk) 20:29, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
- That does sound fishy. I've also heard on the Trekmovie website that the Romulan ship model was destroyed in a fire, which is why the Klingon ships were used in this episode.THD3 (talk) 21:15, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

- Yeah, that sounds like a claim that was made at a bar right after he regaled everyone with a tale about his one-night stand with Angela Joie. In other words, a total crock.
[edit] First Draft Script
I own a copy of the first draft script which has the dialogue relating to the improved cloaking device. Does my word count? Would someone like a photocopy of the page with the dialogue? Sir Rhosis 20:28, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
- (Do I count as a "citation?")
- No, you cannot cite yourself! See Wikipedia:Citing sources. Cyberia23 21:11, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
- Why not include a reference to the publication containing the script? Jtk6204 01:46, 1 January 2007 (UTC)
The script I own is a mimeo of the original script itself. It is not "published." Sir Rhosis 02:15, 1 January 2007 (UTC)
- No one is doubting your word, but the fact that you have this script and are able to refer to it directly is not stated in the article. Whether or not it was ever published, the article could use a citation from it as a footnote, containing the name of the author or authors, the date when it was created, its format, its circulation, and perhaps the actual verbatim quote to which you refer. [edit] Three questions
1) What was it that took Chekov so long to distinguish Spock from the Romulans? He was only half Vulcan!
Addendum: It was a television show. They wanted drama, that's why.
2) Why did the Federation never use the cloaking device afterwards while it obviously was compatible with their own technique?
Addendum: The cloak represents submarines in space. WW2 was still fresh on people's minds. (Roddenberry served in WW2) The Germans used submarines (U Boats) to the fullest, sinking and killing any and everyone. Submarine attacks were considered to be "dirty pool" and quite dishonorable. See next question:
3) The whole thing was a dirty trick and an act of piracy. How could the authors ever justify such a massive violation of interstellar law? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 80.141.212.149 (talk) 20:03, 8 April 2007 (UTC).
Addendum: What's missing in the trivia for this episode is how it is based around real events. The USS Pueblo was captured by the North Koreans while on a spy mission. I don't have the reference in hand, but surely someone knows where to find it. In the meantime. click this: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Uss_pueblo&redirect=no
[edit] Notes
The Notes section seems to be full of oddities and errors. Could an expert take a look at it? Thanks in advance. Lots42 (talk) 21:44, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
