Talk:The Destructors

Removed "There are also many similarities between this short story and Chuck Palahniuk's Fight Club as well as the movie based on that book, particularly between the gang and Project Mayhem. The theme of destroying something beautiful is central to both."
That's a subjective analysis that sounded jarring to me, being a fan of both Palahniuk, the movie Fight Club and Donnie Darko.
- I agree. I didn't delete it because it was there before I started editing the article and I've only read Fight Club once and seen the movie once and thought there could be more to the comparison than I thought. If you say there's nothing to it, leave it out. The Donnie Darko comparison belongs, though, I think. I've been searching for a more substantive critical analysis of the relationship, actually. That line about Fight Club really should be taken out, unless someone can find anything where Chuck P says it was intentional.
