[edit] Two changes or one?

BillyH, you just merged the two relaunches of October and January - is that the actual way it happened? According to the BBC here it took two changes:

Three months ago, the Dandy introduced this most radical relaunch, trying to stem decades of declining circulation.

...and...

But aware of the deluge of media now directed at children, including films and games as well as TV, the comic's owners, DC Thomson, decided to go for wholesale change.

I've not even seen a Dandy in years so I'm far from knowledgable about it, but it seems to me that we should go back to the unmerged version. violet/riga (t) 18:35, 10 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Looking at the first Dandy of the October relaunch, and this weeks issue, no change is apparent. I'd put it down to slightly misleading wording on the BBC's part. BillyH 18:48, 10 Jan 2005 (UTC)
Fair enough, thanks. violet/riga (t) 18:52, 10 Jan 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Albert Barnes' tenure

Did he leave in 1980 or 1982? Unless i am misreading, two adjacent sentences contradict each other: The original editor was Albert Barnes from the first issue up until 1982.... He was succeeded by Dave Torrie in 1980.... Lindsay H. 07:30, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fortnightly

Huh! Surely the fortnightly issues mean that The Dandy will soon merge with The Beano? If that happens I can only see Desperate Dan and Bananaman surviving - Winker Watson is too similar to Roger the Dodger, Beryl is too like Minnie the Minx, and Owen Goal is exactly like Ball Boy. [edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Dandylogo.png

Image:Dandylogo.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
