Talk:The Crucible of Man (Something Wicked Part 2)

I changed the date for Framing Armageddon from a August/Sept. to the exact dates of the 7th for Germany, the 10th for the rest of Europe, and finally the 11th for the United States. (KingYaba 21:38, 7 July 2007 (UTC))
[edit] It Won't Be the Same Line-up

- Well, Dennis Hayes and Ripper Owens are gone now, with Barlow back on vocals... so no (a late reply though lol). Dan (talk) 16:06, 16 December 2007 (UTC)
I was shocked to read that Matt Barlow was returning to the band. I've heard the earlier works of Iced Earth and the music was horrible. Days of Purgatory was nothing more than 60 minutes of noise. Something Wicked This Way Comes wasn't any better. The Glorious Burden and Framing Armageddon are my two favorite albums with Tim Owens. Iced Earth dropped the ball and any chance of going mainstream and obtaining the same lasting effect as Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Metallica and Megadeth is all but swept away. Iced Earth dropped the ball when Tim Owens left- much like Anthrax dropped the ball when they let John Bush leave. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.247.197.249 (talk) 01:28, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
- I have to say I seriously disagree with you. Iced Earth sounded more genuine and soulful with Matt Barlow. With tim owens, I just got this impression of a fat guy screaming at the highest pitch he could. It was cool but the different production style betrayed Iced Earth's roots in a big way for me. I can't wait for the new album to come out, I'm sure it will be the best thing the band has ever done.67.170.177.29 (talk) 04:04, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
This is a reply to the past two users. What do you mean "Iced Earth dropped the ball when Tim Owens left"? You don't have to be an FM radio darling to be an influential band - look at Slayer, Cannibal Corpse or Dying Fetus. And to the second user, who described Owens as "a fat guy screaming at the highest pitch he could," have you ever actually SEEN him? The guy is quite trim. Both of you are retards. 68.219.36.34 (talk) 02:16, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
