IMO "The Crest" are notable if only for sticking with the gothic/darkwave genre that started the whole female-fronted gothic power metal genre. Instead of jumping on the bandwagon, they were among the ones to start it. They should also be considered notable because their singer was asked to replace the lead singer of one of the most successful gothic bands, Theatre of Tragedy. --84.59.0.27

Okay, I have a point: Her band released its first album 4 years after it started, while many other bands were influencing the genre. While she did replace Liv, what if some unknown singer had replaced her? Would you say that her grandpa's jazz band was infulental to gothic metal? By the way, "gothic power" metal doesn't exist. You may be thinking of "symphonic power" metal, which is completely unrelated here. 65.95.34.230 (talk) 15:48, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
