[edit] Album Covers
Didn't the US editions have different colours instead of green? I've seen copies of the first Clash album that had both Green outlining and the Blue outlining. Does anyone know which is which specifically? Andrzejbanas 14:36, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
-
- No. The US editions are all green (but a lighter green as the UK editions). The one with the blue outlining is a Canadian edition (released by CBS Records Canada Ltd.) which has the same tracklisting as the US edition. —Preceding unsigned comment added by User:82.83.146.244 (talk • contribs) 10:18 (UTC), 24 November 2006
[edit] Miscellaneous
Can someone fact check the claim that the intro to "I'm So Bored With the USA" is the same as Sex Pistol's "Pretty Vacant"? I was listening to both and I get the similarity, but not the borrowing.
[edit] Who is Mikaela Recorde?
"After continuous practice at Mikaela's private home studio the band were ready to begin recording."
This is news. Everybody else says all rehearsals took place at Rehearsal Rehearsals in Camden Town. Furthermore, the only ghits for Mikaela Recorde are from versions of this article. I suspect this is a hoax. Anybody else got a view? BTLizard (talk) 11:23, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
- Hi BTLizard, Thank you very much! It's a hoax made by 124.186.247.233 (User_talk:124.186.247.233) (See: Revision as of 09:54, 8 September 2007). —PJoe F. (talk • contribs) 13:13, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Marley's exposure
It states (correctly) at the top of the article that the album was recorded in early '77, but later, under "Reception and Influence," it's claimed that Lee Perry heard the album in '76 and played it to Bob Marley. Had to have been '77 not '76; "Punky Reggae Party" was recorded and released in '77, so it wouldn't have been any later than that. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.83.100.14 (talk) 04:16, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
