[edit] Floating Template
What's with the template getting moved around?

[edit] Age
Though it's true about the age of those Chipettes, Simon is the same age as Jeanette, Alvin is the same age as Brittany, and Theodore is the same age as Eleanor. --PJ Pete
4-7 being the age range? I thought they were a teeny bit older than t hat 8-10 at least given the nature of their adventures in the series and movies? Conquistador2k6
I agree. All we need now is an actual citation and we can get the age issue resolved.
WAVY 10 04:53, 1 January 2007 (UTC)
I'm removing the speculation about the Chipettes as having different ages. It is clear from the cartoon that they are all the same age. They were all born at the same time, from the same litter, and are in the same grade at school. I am also removing references in their character profiles to "She loves so-and-so..." as it does not sound encyclopedic and their dating habits are discussed in the fictional character history section. --The_General_Nikos
- I just thought of a possibility that 4-7 could have been the age range at the beginning of the show. The problem is the fact that neither the Chipmunks or Chipettes were ever explicitly "aged" during the show's run. 208.27.124.228 00:14, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
In one of the 1983 episodes (the first season), Alvin and the Chipmunks stated that they were 8 years old, and then stated that they were nine in one of the 1984 episodes. The Chipettes were around the same age as the Chipmunks, as all six of them were in the same grade at school. Also, their origin episodes make it clear that both sets (Chipmunks and Chipettes) were born in single litters, or in human terms, as triplets. It makes no sense to list them as being years apart in their respective ages. --The_General_Nikos
Actually, I think they should be different ages. I mean, there is NO WAY Simon is the same age as Theo!!! Alvin seems to be about seven in the cartoons, so Simon's probably eight and Theo's probably around five. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Thegreatandpowerfulsimonseville (talk • contribs) 21:16, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

- Thanks for clearing that up. WAVY 10 18:33, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
Just doin' my job, dude! Your welcome, and if anyone else has any questions about the chipettes and the chipmunks, I'd be glad to answer! -thegreatandpowerfulsimonseville —Preceding unsigned comment added by Thegreatandpowerfulsimonseville (talk • contribs) 20:32, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Country
It's true that the characters: Alvin and the Chipmunks are all Americans, and most everybody knows that. --PJ Pete
Both the Chipmunks and the Chipettes are now Americans, but according to their origin episode, the Chipettes were born in Australia. --The_General_Nikos
- I thought the episode revealing that fact was around 1985 (probably early 3rd season). WAVY 10 18:33, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
Yes, the Chipettes origin episode aired on 11/2/1985. Their first appearance was in the first episode of the Chipmunks cartoon on 9/17/1983. --The_General_Nikos
[edit] Crazy Edits
I took out the ridiculous references to the Chipettes being "fictional princesses" just because they were dressed in harem outfits at one point by one of their human captors. I also took out the crazy references to the Chipettes being chosen by Roger Rabbit to catch a kitten or some crazy crap like that. Probably just vandalism, but if not, fan fiction stuff doesn't belong on wikipedia. --The_General_Nikos
[edit] That's Odd...
The Chipettes Are Like The Kanker Sisters From Ed, Edd N Eddy. 12.216.123.8 00:33, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
Sort of, but it'd be the other way around since the Chipettes came first. The Powerpuff Girls are also sort of similar to the Chipettes, don't you think? --The_General_NIkos
Yeah, Maybe. 12.216.123.8 02:39, 9 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Foreign Language Versions
Is it necessary to name the voice actresses for the Japanese version of the Chipmunk Adventure? What about other foreign language versions?
[edit] Apparent Sexual Dimorphism
I'm reinserting my assertions concerning the evident sexual dimorphism in the species in light of the following:
The Chipettes have used suntan lotion in at least one episode of the cartoon series, indicating that their skin is indeed relatively bare (as in humans).
When the Chipettes' midriffs are exposed, their navels are quite visible, while those of the boys are not (they are apparently obscured, as in other fur-bearing mammals).
And finally, the girls have human-like hair on their heads which grows in a variety of colors (brown on Jeanette, auburn on Brittany, and blonde on Eleanor and Charlene), unlike the boys, who have tufts of fur on their heads the exact same color as that which grows on their bodies.
It is obvious that the appearance of males and females differs significantly enough in the Chipmunk species to warrant some discussion. --The_General_Nikos
[edit] Hey Vandal
The Chipettes were not in Roger Rabbit. Are you having fun inserting the "Roger Rabbit Characters" line over and over again? --The_General_Nikos
[edit] Theodore Roosevelt
I removed the text, "It has been speculated that Theodore's counterpart was given the name Eleanor as a reference to the United States President Theodore 's wife, Eleanor Roosevelt."
Speculated by who? Theodore Roosevelt was never married to Eleanor Roosevelt so this doesn't make sense. Check their wiki pages.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR TAKING THAT OUT. I noticed it too. :) -thegreatandpowerfulsimonseville —Preceding unsigned comment added by Thegreatandpowerfulsimonseville (talk • contribs) 20:30, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
Actually Eleanor was Teddy's Neice, she married Franklin who was her 5th cousin.--Hailey 15:12, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
