[edit] The Chase, story plotline of the film, written & directed by EriN Elaine Sawden

"The Chase", inspired by a dreamer's love for music, was written by EriN Elaine Sawden at the start of 2008. She began to write the story out of her love for all things Detroit, the city she had grown-up and known where whole life. She grew up with her near & dear gearheads with Motor-City Muscle Cars, following the rock-shows of Grunge-rock, hardcore, mosh-pitting bands born of Detroit, and the musicians she adored as brothers in arms. But it didn't stop there, her love for the city and her afflection for music, be it Rock 'n Roll, Punk, Metal, Industrial, or Electroinic, didn't stop with the Detroit city limits. Of course, there was always more of the world to see, and one those places was home to her favorite band rocking the stages of Chicago, the band 'Kill Hannah'. Thus began the epic tale, fit to be made for the big screen, as four friends from Detroit Rock City, flip a coin... tails would force them to stay in Detroit, hunting down each rock & punk gigs around town for the entirety of their winter break. Or, if fate should have it, the coin would fall on Heads, and send them on a road-trip to Chicago to see their favorite band, 'Kill Hannah', rock the stages in their hometown. But their harmless rockstar road-trip, set in motion by the lead character Elaine, or as her three 'partners in crime' dub her, 'Laney', will soon find out that this rockstar roadtrip, safely traveling in their beloved cars of Detroit Muscle and bonded by their 'partners in crime' friendship, would not be just like every other roadtrip they've made to see a show. As they embark on their adventure into Chicago, they realize a little late that this roadtrip, this rockshow, and this city, is home to much more than just a their fave band, 'Kill Hannah'... It's home to a darkness the likes that Detroit has never seen. Regardless of their flagerant fearlessness for the roughs streets of the city they call home, they will have to use all the Muscle power in their cars and every avenue of crime they know to survive their chase back to Detroit, before the unknown darkness of beings they encountered in Chicago meet them full circle, back in Detroit.
