[edit] proof?
- Is there any proof that Bush and Rice read the book and praised it? --Mecanismo 13:58, 10 December 2005 (UTC)
http://www.google.com/search?q=cache:awi3dtblumsJ:www.washingtontimes.com/national/20050111-114349-9789r.htm+%22the+case+for+democracy%22+bush+quote&hl=en&lr=lang_en|lang_es&client=firefox-a I included the Google Cache just so you could read the highlights easier - he mentions the book directly toward the end... It's the Washington Times.
Excerpt: Mr. Bush: If you want a glimpse of how I think about foreign policy read Natan Sharansky's book "The Case for Democracy." Anybody read it? Read it. It's a great book. And I think it will help - it will help explain a lot of the decisions that you'll see being made - you've seen made and will continue to see made. And it will help explain what's going to happen in the Palestinian territories as far as we're concerned. For government, particularly [-] for opinion makers, I would put it on your recommended reading list. It's short and it's good. This guy is an heroic figure, as you know. It's a great book.

- Another source which shows Rice has read the book is at [abc.net.au http://www.abc.net.au/rn/talks/lnl/s1299259.htm]. I would say the line should be cleaned up somewhat but it does seem well source and backed. -- I would also suggest that we remove the cleanup-verify tag. - Etcher 00:49, 13 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:NSBookCover.jpg
Image:NSBookCover.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
