I note the description of Canongate as a separate burgh until 1856. However, I am not seeing it listed in "List of burghs in Scotland" Nor I am seeing it amongst burghs listed in Common Good Land in Scotland, Andy Wightman and James Perman, 2005. Laurel Bush 09:44, 16 August 2006 (UTC).
