[edit] Proposed move
Proposed for simplicity's sake. "The Call" is not being used for anything else, but the move is still obstructed.— Bjones 13:07, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Survey
- Oppose - I don't understand what you mean when you say "The Call" is not being used for anything else. There are a half-dozen links on the disambiguation page, for everything from newspapers to TV shows. -- nae'blis 00:25, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
- Support - The Call is not in current use, and no other obvious associations come to mind. Chubbles1212 07:14, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
- Oppose - The Call is a disambiguation page with lots of links. I don't know how anybody gets a blank page, or says it's "not in current use". Are we looking at the same Wikipedia? -GTBacchus(talk) 21:29, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
Hm. That's quite strange - The Call was definitely missing at the time I edited Call to include a reference to the band. Support withdrawn. Chubbles1212 01:27, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Discussion
Move not accepted - The Call's disambiguation is back. BTW, I saw a blank page initially too. Considering there are many articles with the same name, this move request cannot be completed. - Ganeshk (talk) 04:25, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image Fix
Could someone please fix the spelling of the name "Michael" in the image? Chubbles1212 18:52, 7 October 2006 (UTC)
- Heh, looks like somebody fixed the problem by deleting the image. Such are the ways of the Wiki these days. Chubbles 15:48, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
We should also fix the links: the two members who link to active pages, are to different people with the same name, who presumably need to be disambiguated. --Salvadors 22:25, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
Image is wrong. I don't recall any Call album with a bloody phone, and I have them all, even the out of print ones from the Mercury years.
[edit] Wiki Links
Most of the names from the Call of which are wiki linked do not seem to have any pages when they are clicked and linked upon. Leading one to a conclusion that this page has not been polished nor worked on in a while

[edit] Christian band?
The Call is a Christian rock band, isn't it? I'm surprised that this is not mentioned anywhere in the article. I'm not Christian myself, but it seems to me that this should be mentioned, at least in passing, if this is important to the band. Plus, there is no real description of what their music sounds like. BobCubTAC (talk) 21:21, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
- This goes to the long-time argument about what makes a band a "Christian band." Michael Been is known to be a Christian, but even if each of the other members is, is that all it takes to be called that? There seems to be a difference between a band with Christian members and a Christian band, as bands such as King's X, Galactic Cowboys, and U2 have always been quick to point out. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mitchell k dwyer (talk • contribs) 05:44, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

- Good point, although with songs such as "Let The Day Begin" as well as the meaning behind the band's name, it seems that Christianity is indeed an important element of the band and its songs. I just think this is a subject about which at least some basic definitive information should be included in the article. I may even research it myself if I can make the time to do so.
