[edit] Neutrality
This article isn't very neutral. GreenJoe 19:12, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
This article is not neutral at all, and was in fact created and made with a number of sources and citations missing by user Adamfreeland. It was then disputed and I was given a warning for changing some of the very biased wording and some incorrect information. Some things, such as the fact that after the computer account at the administration building at UPEI that was linked to the removal of information from the UPEI wikipedia page was found to be a student and I apologized, was also removed with no reason given.
Is adamfreeland an administrator? If so, I have to question the validity of this entire page and the agenda behind his edits. There are still citations needed for the assumptions that are made on the page, as well as the fact that the UPEI student council voted to give a committee time to look into autonomy options, that was changed for no reason. There are citations available through council's voting and record-keeping, but at this point I hesitate to add any more information due to the obviously biased editing that is going on.
If anything, I think user Adamfreeland should be prevented from making any more changes to this stub until 3rd parties or proper citations can be found.
In fact, this Cadre stub went up only hours after the student council meeting to change the makeup of the committee and essentially turn down a bid by the Independent Student Media society to take over the newspaper. Through google searching I've linked the Adamfreeland account name with a student at UPEI, and with a little more googling have determined that it is in fact Ryan Palmer, president of the ISM society.

By checking the various posts by user adamfreeland on this message board and others, I have determined that user Adamfreeland is involved with Radio@upei and ISM, and was one of only a few people from that program to go to the ECMA's this year. In that specific post, the user talks about going on holiday in Ottawa.
If you then check Ryan Palmer's blog, http://ryanpalmer.ca/home/ you'll see that he spent those same holidays in Ottawa.
It is obvious then that both myself and Adamfreeland should be prevented from making any more changes to the site, as there is a huge conflict of interest by both parties.
One last bit of checking the verify all this nonsense, a post on a message board for the artist K-OS has user 'Adamfreeland' stating that he is, in fact, Ryan Palmer from PEI.

Personally I think this whole stub should be deleted and a new one formed by a third party, using documented sources.

- The article also lacks sources for many things. A blog is not a verifiable source. GreenJoe 15:45, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
This stub is completely one-sided and focuses almost entirely on the controversies of the past two years. There is very little here about the actual paper. 24.138.4.12 01:57, 25 July 2007 (UTC)Josh Lewis, Sports Editor
While this certainly isn't the most pressing issue with this article, I don't think that the first controversy occured in December 2002; that is, the date is incorrect. I was working as the A&E editor in Dec. 2002, the editor was Matt Stewart, and I don't remember him being replaced. Was it perhaps Dec. 2003, with editor Thomas Lloyd? I wasn't around for that, but I'd heard that there was some controversy with the Cadre that year.
