Talk:The Bottle Rockets

To the author: A note about why I unwikied many items and wikified others.
- The title of the article itself: Wikilinks lead the reader to a new page. Since readers are on the page called Bottle Rockets, there was no need to keep putting wiki-links on that term.
- Band members: This is a very common mistake in music pages. Please wiki-link musicians in the band only if they have some notability or importance outside of the band. E.g. Frank Zappa is well known outside of Mothers of Invention, so he would be wiki-linked inside the article on the mothers. Similarly, Jay Farar, by founding not just Uncle Tupelo, but Son Volt and now doing solo work, would be a wiki-link in the Uncle Tupelo article. If the members of the Bottle Rockets are so well known or notable aside from this band that a reasonable person would encounter their names and need information, then make them wiki-links. Otherwise, put pertinent artist information in this article.
- Records: There is a Wiki-Albums project underway. However, EP's and singles, cassette-only releases and the like are inappropriate targets. My suggestion, given the somewhat underground reputation of The Bottle Rockets, is that you wiki-link and create an article only on the most successful Bottle Rockets record.
- Finally, consider getting an account at Wikipedia. It makes communication like this easier, as editors can drop notes on your Talk page. Geogre 16:48, 20 Sep 2004 (UTC)

There is a band called Bottle Rocket that doesn't have 'Barack Obama' and 'Mariah Carey' in it http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=34043737
