The categorization of the record company's namesake in Tulsa, Oklahoma as a "historical Black community," may be innacurate. Look at the article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.194.96.23 (talkcontribs) 18:51, 29 December 2005 (UTC)

How is it founded in 2002 ? Game just got released from G Unit in 2004 - 2005 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rickey5535 (talkcontribs) 18:51, 29 December 2005 (UTC)

The Black Wall Street Records is a recording company founded by The Game.

As The Black Wall Street Records company is currently undergoing talks for a distribution deal. There is no official label distribution for the label right now and there is no one actually signed to the label until a distribution deal is finalized.

Therefore the following artists are affiliated and are most likely to be signed once complete.

[edit] Brief overview

  • Johnny Hooks- Johnny Hooks is from New Jersey. He is also the co-founder of The Black Wall Street Records. He is also working on other ventures with The Game such as 16 Bars magazine.
  • Charli Baltimore- After continuous delays in releasing her album, Charli Baltimore had decided to leave Murder Inc to join The Black Wall Street.
  • Ya Boy- San Francisco based artist who has one album out that was released before he got signed with Black Wall Street called Rookie of The Year. Ya Boy is supporting the Hyphy Movement, a style of music and dance associated with San Francisco Bay Area hip hop culture.
  • Nu Jerzey Devil- Nu Jerzey Devil, signed to The Black Wall Street label in 2004. He produced the single "300 Bars And Runnin'". He is currently working on some tracks for The Game's sophomore album "The Doctor's Advocate".
  • Life- previously an affillate to Big Fase 100, Life left Big Fase's Brazil and Wilimington Records to join The Black Wall Street.
  • Lil' Damu- This artist has signed to The Black Wall Street in 2006. Lil' Damu was featured on Nu Jerzey Devil's new mixtape on a track titled "Gang Bang".
  • Shyne- Previously of Def Jam records, Shyne signed to The Black Wall Street in 2006 after trouble with Def Jam concerning his last album and beef with 50 Cent.
  • DJ Skee - Is of the fastest growing underground deejays working with The Game. DJ Skee has assisted in aiding Nu Jerzey Devil in production of The Game's mixtapes. DJ Skee is part of Shade 45: Westsyde Hype program on Sirius Radio.Black wall Streets Official myspace is http://www.myspace.com/theofficialblackwallstreetrecords

[edit] Shyne is not part of BWS

As of right now, Game will only be the executive producer for his upcoming album. There have been no official announcements about him signing with BWS.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.135.103.81 (talk • contribs)

[edit] Stoping "Fcksbtngoyankees" Vandalism, Once And For All

Is there a way to do this, because it is getting on my nervous. If someone can do this, or explain how to do it, please help. Because everytime someone edits something, he/she goes back and deliberately adds false information to the artists section. Thank you.--JpGrB

[edit] Young Rob

is Young Rob a roster of the BWS —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dahispanicmex (talkcontribs)

[edit] artists...

check http://www.bwseurope.com/artists/ all these artist are signed @ bws records, please update! --84.75.177.197 23:13, 9 July 2007 (UTC)

They are non-notable members. I wish I could update, but an administrator said we should not add them, so we should listen to him. --- Realest4Life 23:14, 9 July 2007 (UTC)
That article is so messed, I don't even wanna get into it. I told you why it's messed. So don't try to use G-Unit Records as an example. I don't even wanna edit that article in its current state. --- Realest4Life 18:34, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
Ok, I agree with Realest about the G-Unit thing, but I also agree with Shady on this one about BWS. I don't understand why we can't really list oter people. I was just wondering the same thing for a while. --JpGrB
To be honest, I would like to list them also, however, before I came here to kind of take care of the article (revert vandalism, remove unsourced statements, formatting, etc.) an administrator was here and he reverted everytime people added the other (non-notable (you have to admit that they are not notable yet)) members of the roster. I just trying to do what an administrator does, ask User:Swatjester, he is the guy that reverted before. Have a talk with him if you wish (although he already talked to Shadyaftrmathgunit), and have him explain why you can't add. I can't think of anything else. --- Realest4Life 00:26, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
Ok, G-Unit Records wasn't the best example, but by not adding the "non notable artists" to the roster list would make it uncomplete and why does it matter if there not well know artists.--Shadyaftrmathgunit 22:29, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
I don't think you read my response. I DON'T KNOW. I am just doing what an administrator is doing, if I don't revert, he will probably revert it himself. He probably has a good reason to do so. So ask him, "where does it say that you should not list non-notable members of record label rosters?", or why he thinks we should not list them. --- Realest4Life 00:12, 5 August 2007 (UTC)

I just added Juice, the only other member that is somewhat notable, let's see if anyone else removes it, if not, then maybe we can change the heading from "Notable artists" to just "Artists" and then we can just add everyone else. --- Realest4Life 03:12, 22 August 2007 (UTC)

It looks like nobody has deleted is so shouldn't we add the full roster.--Shadyaftrmathgunit 23:20, 25 August 2007 (UTC)

OK, please give me a link to the full roster, list them here, including the table and everything, along with the descriptions, so that we can just copy and paste it into the article. --- Realest4Life 23:23, 25 August 2007 (UTC)

OK, it's done. --- Realest4Life 00:25, 26 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] The?

Ok, I was wondering, is it "The" Black Wall Street Records, or just Black Wall Street Records? Just a question. JpGrB 17:04, 26 August 2007 (UTC)

I think it's The Black Wall Street Records. --- Realest4Life 17:05, 26 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Clyde Carson

Clyde Carson just signed with Black Wall Street —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.24.94.54 (talk) 00:16, 8 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] We need a reliable source.

There are too many edits made, and I don't know what is reliable and what isn't. Can someone find anything on any of the artists or producers? I would use theblackwallstreet.com, but that hasn't been updated for a long time. Thank you. --JpGrB 18:00, 17 November 2007 (UTC)

Also using theblackwallstreet.com would not be as good as using third party sources as it is a primary source. They could publish anything if they wanted but it needs to be backed up by another source. --¤ The-G-Unit-฿oss ¤ 19:04, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
  • I'm going to go ahead and remove everyting that is unsourced. Adding citiation tags won't be useful in this situation as nobody seems to be able to find any reliable sources. --¤ The-G-Unit-฿oss ¤ 19:06, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
Well, hey, thanks man for trying to help out with this. Because everything and anything I can really find is MySpace stuff. Lol. --JpGrB 20:37, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
I know, it's really hard to find good sources for record labels & their artists. --¤ The-G-Unit-฿oss ¤ 20:45, 17 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Artists

The cite used to show them is invalid seeing that site isn't active anymore. Also, Eastwood left, G-Malone signed to Cash Money Records if I'm not mistaken, and Techniec left as well.--KarmaLoop (talk) 22:22, 17 November 2007 (UTC)

Oh, I see. Shall we remove all of them except The Game? --¤ The-G-Unit-฿oss ¤ 22:33, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
I thought Juice was signed also? --JpGrB 22:35, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
I think Juice is signed, what about Black Boy and Clyde Carson? I thought they were signed as well. But I'm going by MySpace, I don't know for sure. But those artists up right now aren't apart of this label anymore. Also, I heard that they got distribution from Warner? That's why they changed their logo to this. --KarmaLoop (talk) 03:34, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
Never mind, I thought it said Capitol distributed them still.--KarmaLoop (talk) 07:09, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] 2008 Activity.

Recently (today actually), DubCNN posted that NJD has a lot coming up this year. Now, I've seen that site referenced in other articles, so, I wasn't sure if I could cite it? If someone can tell me, that'd be great. Thanks. --JpGrB 04:06, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Ya Boy Re-signed?

I clicked on the source, but it just goes to a forum. And I'm not 100% sure, but aren't forums non-reliable sources? Plus because it isn't an open forum, so for someone to check, they'd have to sign up. Once again, I'm not 100% sure. --JpGrB 17:00, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

he´s not back!! yaboy is still with he´s own label and so long you can´t prove hes on BWS dont put hes name on!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Motormule (talkcontribs) 15:51, 5 February 2008 (UTC)

I'm a member of the forum and it was confirmed by grego the head admin of BWS europe, it was also confirmed on myspace at the time. So yes he is re-signed —Preceding unsigned comment added by Shadowghosts (talkcontribs) 21:00, 5 February 2008 (UTC)

Is it possible to get like a screen shot or something, because it'd be better than having a member only forum as a source. Of you understand what I'm saying. --JpGrB 21:16, 5 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] ISSUES WITH "BIG J" "YA BOY" & MIXTAPES

Artist "Big J" is not signed with Black Wall Street Records and is only affiliated, Ya Boy is signed to his own imprint "Precise Music Group". Unless any other sources come from a credible source e.g, interview with Black Wall Street Staff or a roster from an offical website these artists cannot be classed as "signed". Mixtape cd's do not qualify for Wikipedia music albums and the ones posted were not distributed by Koch and did not have credible sources. BWSMEDIA (talk) 01:42, 27 February 2008 (UTC)

According to the sources we have, they are signed, if you know somewhere where it states otherwise, please show. And the mixtapes do not have articles, so the fact that they don't qualify to Wikipedia albums means nothing. It is the same as this page. --JpGrB 01:47, 27 February 2008 (UTC)
The sources are not credible they do not come from Black Wall Street affiliated websites, please refrain from reverting the page as this may result in a ban. BWSMEDIA (talk) 01:49, 27 February 2008 (UTC)
Wikipedia is a place for third party sources! As BWS can say anything they'd like. They can deny the existence, just as G-Unit, Def Jam or any others can of anything, but if a third party covrs them, we can cite it. --JpGrB 01:51, 27 February 2008 (UTC)
Wikipedia states that credible sources are used, these sources you provide are either from Torrent websites or from an unaffiliated Europe site - and since there has been no confirmation from Black Wall Street about these signings there cannot be no credible source. Untill credible sources can be found where they either quote a member or are interviewing an offical member of Black Wall Street this page should remain from being reverted, if you continue to you will likely end up being banned as a result of Wikipedia three revert rule BWSMEDIA (talk) 01:56, 27 February 2008 (UTC)
I'm just wondering how BWS Europe is not affiliated? I have stopped my reverting, And I understand that torrent sites cannot be used, but are you aware, one of the sites was Amazon? And some are not even torrents? I'm just trying too understand your logic. --JpGrB 02:03, 27 February 2008 (UTC)
The European site "BWS" Europe are in no way affiliated with Black Wall Street Records, they are simply a fan site set up for european fans of Black Wall Street. I understand that members who run the website have met with members of BWS whilst in europe but this however does not qualify as credible sources. Artist "Big J" is not signed to Black Wall Street, merely affiliated and held as a european counterpart. Ya Boy is signed to his own imprint Precise Music Group and though it has been speculated he may be signed with Black Wall Street, unless it comes from his mouth or an offical member of Black Wall Street this cannot be used as a source - I am not running a hate campaign or trying to dismantle this wiki page but I was one of the founders of this wiki page and know that without credible sources coming from Game or an offical Black Wall Street member 99% of the time they are just rumors . BWSMEDIA (talk) 02:11, 27 February 2008 (UTC)
Here does this prove to you that BWS Europe is real? --JpGrB 02:13, 27 February 2008 (UTC)
This information about BWS Europe was added by "PR INSIDE" which is a public relations company and was submitted by the BWS Europe website - again this information does not come from The Game or an official Black Wall Street member. BWSMEDIA (talk) 02:20, 27 February 2008 (UTC)
Honestly, I would just say bring an Admin in to fix all this. I don't wanna "argue" anymore. I'll keep this civil, I can't say for other people though, all I'm saying is the fact that the one BWS site hasn't been updated since '05, you know? So I'm just saying, I would call for an arbitrator to come in on this. --JpGrB 02:24, 27 February 2008 (UTC)
There is no need for an arbitrator, you cannot post non credible sources - simple as. However I have requested that someone look over the matter, I believe an eaiser way to settle this however is to create a "Affiliated Artists" section - this being artists that have rumored to be working with Black Wall Street or even signed but yet have no credible source to use. If you are willing to accept that for now so both of our matters are eased for the minute, then i will comply. BWSMEDIA (talk) 02:28, 27 February 2008 (UTC)

Yes that affilicated section used to exist but someone like you came along and deleted it so what the point in even trying anymore u might as well just do anyway with the entire article if your just going to hate and cause trouble, this article also needs locking to stop anonymous users vandalising the article further shadowghosts —Preceding comment was added at 14:56, 27 February 2008 (UTC)

I don't know if http://www.theblackwallstreet.com/artist.html is up to date, but Ya Boy and Big J aren't listed there. But in this video, The Game says Big J is part of BWS Europe. Spellcast (talk) 22:04, 27 February 2008 (UTC)

Thats whats mostly causing the problem at the minute, "bws europe" is not Black Wall Street records. 78.145.204.121 (talk) 23:58, 27 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Elijah signed?

I have the (currently) newest mixtape and an artist named "Elijah" is on it several times. I believe it says he's signed, but the website does not state this. Should we leave it out? --JpGrB 22:23, 31 May 2008 (UTC)

I added him in die to him being featured on the bws radio vol 4.
