"The Patient's Story"

Ok, since it's been talked about ALOT now, it's gone. I deleted it ALL. Even the ones in the song articles. The song articles seem small now, but their really isn't much about them to write about them yet. Since all of "The Patient's Story" is biased and does not state its sources, it is GONE! DON'T POST IT AGAIN! --DavyJonesGSB

Reviews

Do we really need that big of a comment section? I understand there was a mixed reaction towards the record, but we don't need to list each and every single reaction. We have the whole sidebar thingy for those brief blurbs. --CerpinTaxt

I think it was starting to get out of hand, but I think it's way too brief of a section now. I thought it was convenient to list little blurps from a few of the reviews, both negative and positive, that way people get the general reception of the album without having to go through and read every review on the sidebar. WIKI-GUY-16 6:43 1 November(UTC)
Then just write a few things, like Entertainment Weekly said "whatever", whereas the Observer wrote "such and such"--CerpinTaxt
As this stands now, it's just a paragraph that sums up the sidebar. This either needs to be expanded or removed.

Black and grey Cover Versions

i was at targer the other day and there were 2 versions of the album.

one had a grey cover (the one posted on this article and the one were all used to) and a black cover version.

i looked at the track listing and they were both the same

just wonderin if there was a difference

Just a difference in slip case cover, nothing else. Choose whichever you prefer because there is no difference.  Orfen User Talk | Contribs 21:02, 31 October 2006 (UTC)

Hannah Montana

the fact that hannah montan v=can have an album that sells better than mce amazes me??????? - user:jimmypop1994

That's what happens when you appeal to every girl in the U.S. between the age of 8-12. It's definitaly horrible to see that sell more then the Black Parade, or any of the other albums in the top 10 of the billboard 200 for that matter, but frankly I'm just happy it debuted as high as it did. Outselling your previous record by more then 200,000 for debut week is pretty good. WIKI-GUY-16 12:53, 1 November(UTC)

I know when I just went to the Billboard website and seen that some kid show Hannah Montana's soundtrack beat MCR I was shocked. But I am still so proud that MCR debuted at well as they have. And I think that once it's been a couple of weeks MCR could also raise higher in the charts. So props to MCR. - MyChemical 8:08, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

References To Previous Albums

There are loads all the way throughout the album... The lines "Three Cheers For" is used in one of the songs and "The Sharpest Lives" sound like line from Three Cheers "The Sharpest things you say". I think this need to be adressed. RuSTy1989 11:33, 2 November 2006 (UTC)

I agree with you, there are references. For example, "To The End" the title itself seems to point to this album's opener, not to mention the lyrics "..the last parade...". P.S. the song with "three cheers for" is Sleep. DarkNecromancer 23:23, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

I don't necessarily think they are references; a lot of the songs on TBP were written a longggg time ago, some even before Bullets came out, so he was probably writing his songs with the same thoughts in mind. --Yunaresuka 01:37, 13 February 2007 (UTC)

Removal

Why was the opening section removed? --Jamdav86 17:45, 2 November 2006 (UTC)

If no-one can give a reason, the I'll reinstate it, as I will assume it's vandalism.. --Jamdav86 17:15, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
What exactly was removed? I don't see anything out of the ordinary gone. Everything that isn't there was discussed. Can you please provide a copy or something that was removed? I just don't see anything removed.  Orfen User Talk | Contribs 21:19, 3 November 2006 (UTC)

Pre-release and release The band were very secretive about the new album when they were recording it. They played very few shows, and ended up canceling several concerts in July and August, mainly due to injuries sustained during the filming of the video for their second single.

The Rise and Fall of My Chemical Romance was originally thought to be the official title; however it was later confirmed as the working title by Gerard Way, the lead singer of My Chemical Romance, in a July interview with Kerrang! magazine. He stated "It was never the title of the album, more a spoof, or joke."[1]

In mid-July, 2006[2], fans started hearing of The Black Parade. A page on the Warner Reprise website, and a Myspace profile were launched under this name. Many fans began to speculate as to what The Black Parade might be.[3] Speculation suggested that The Black Parade would be the name of the new album, but Gerard Way refused to confirm this, saying in an interview with Kerrang! magazine that the title was "super-secret".

The title of the album was officially revealed at a concert played in London on 22 August 2006. The show started with an announcement that My Chemical Romance were unable to play and that their "good friends 'The Black Parade'" would be playing instead. They later went on to announce the title of the album to the crowd, and that The Black Parade was also their alter ego. After the concert a long interview with the band was posted on www.theblackparade.com answering some of the questions asked by fans.[1] The slogan "We Are the Black Parade" was also said to mean that the fans can also be a part of this and they are also The Black Parade by the band.[4]

Concept The concept of the album is Gerard Way's belief that when death comes, it comes in the form of one's strongest subconscious memory. The album is focused around a character called the Patient and how death comes to him. Gerard said in an interview released on iTunes that: "This album is a story of a man, known as The Patient who dies in a hospital. He goes on an odyssey and examines his life and the mistakes he has made. His strongest memory is his dad taking him to a parade when he was a child. So when death comes for him, it comes in the form of a black parade." The Patient dies of cancer, as proven on songs like "Cancer", and by Way cutting his hair short and bleaching it white to resemble a man who has undergone chemotherapy.

According to Way, the album contains "some really dark stuff and some touches of Queen and The Doors. And there's some really experimental parts that sound a bit like System Of A Down. But all of that is mixed with a big shot of My Chemical Romance".[5] Way has also said that the album "is way more dramatic, way more theatrical, completely over the top, borderline psychotic. It's the most pure, intense thing we've ever been involved in. We just didn't mess around at all. To be honest with you, it felt like we did at the beginning when we did [our first record], that's the kind of intensity that we got."[6]

That. --Jamdav86 20:56, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

Ok, well, I think that part may need some work. Remove the influence information from the Concept section, and we do need sourced information for the story because it is needed, it is an important part of the album. But I would say once repetive information is removed that we should add that back in.  Orfen User Talk | Contribs 21:34, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

Commentary on the storyline for The Black Parade

All of this needs to be deleted. It is OR, unsourced and conflicts with commentary in sourced media (for example, NME says that the Patient dies during Dead!). Until you can source it, it does not belong on Wikipedia. Period. --Jamdav86 18:30, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

I agree. The commentary is infantile and there is no verifable source.

genre of album ?

I doubt that this album can be considered only alternative rock. Should'nt it be also be listed under emo rock ? I don't see why everyone here is so afraid to put emo under MCR's genres for this album and the group's music.

It is fine how it is. There is a list of disputed subgenres, and everyone can basically agree MCR is alternative rock. All of the disputed subgenres have a source, so if you can find a reliable source and it is not currently in the list then you can add it.  Orfen User Talk | Contribs 23:24, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
I dispute that it is 'alternative rock'. The singles have been widely played on commercial radio and mainstream tv and the album promoted widely in mainstream magazines and tv. I fail to see how 'alternative' applies to this album. Wikipedia describes it thus '"Alternative rock" is essentially an umbrella term for underground music that has emerged in the wake of the punk rock movement since the mid 1980s. Throughout much of its history, alternative rock has been largely defined by its rejection of the commercialism of mainstream culture.' Really doesn't apply to this band or album.
However it also says that there are mainstream alternative rock bands.  Orfen User Talk | Contribs 23:41, 14 December 2006 (UTC)

Could we say My Chemical Romance were punk influenced? Because they do love their Misfits Could we also call My Chemical Romance part Heavy metal or New Wave of British Heavy Metal, because they are also influenced by Iron Maiden. We can't pinpoint one particular genre, so name a few. Blkeddie! 16:30, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

My Chemical Romance, ...heavy metal? Roflcopters? I have never heard even the tiniest hint of The Misfits, nor Iron Maiden, in MCR music. Just because they purport to be influenced by them does not mean that they belong in the genre of those bands. Show me one harmonizing guitar riff, one galloping drum line, one second of Gerard Way's whiny vocals that sound remotely similiar to Bruce Dickinson... then maybe we can talk about that. Until then please don't defame the memory of these good, talented bands with such insulting insinuations. Hyperion395 21:51, 8 February 2007 (UTC)

Welcome To The Black Parade v.s. JOS

Is Welcome To The Black Parade like green day's Jos?

No, the only similarities between "Jesus of Suburbia" and the "Welcome to the Black Parade" music video is the fact that they were directed by the same director. Yes, "Welcome to the Black Parade" has a story going through the video, however, I would not say it is as epic as "Jesus of Suburbia". "Jesus of Suburbia" has dialogue in one version and is a supposed sort of "trailer" to American Idiot: The Motion Picture. "Wecome to the Black Parade" is at the moment, only a music video. Also, the songs are two different songs as well.  Orfen User Talk | Contribs 19:16, 10 November 2006 (UTC)

An brief interview with G. Way in NME indicatd that he would like to put the Black Parade into another medium. Musicals and animated films were discussed, but nothing concrete was confirmed. --Jamdav86 17:39, 11 November 2006 (UTC)

Boy Divison

This song does NOT EXIST. It was posted as a rumor HERE on Wikipedia by an UNREGISTERED user in June 2006. Any other source who has mentioned the song obtained the information here, and it is not an actual song. Do not add it to the page, do not mention it. It does not exist. It was posted during a time when only four titles were known - Gerard specifically announced "Dead!", "This is How I Disappear", and "Kill All Your Friends" on AOL, plus "Disenchanted" from their tour. MJB12 23:03, 12 November 2006 (UTC)

If it doesn't exist, why does it say it is a b-side? Blkeddie!

Someone possibly with incorrect information or vandalism. Just because it is listed on here it doesn't mean it is true.  Orfen User Talk | Contribs 18:06, 1 December 2006 (UTC)

Deletion templates (see history)

I believe the deletion templates were mistakenly added by Theredbutton when he merged his 'The Patient' page with this page (there was one such tag on that page). Therefore they should not be noted. Makron1n 02:52, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

Kill All Your Friends Leaked?

I just noticed someone took off the "Yet To Be Released" off of this B-Side. No reason provided. Is it leaked, or was this just some random vandalism? I put the notice back up, just in case. - Infinity On High November 26 2006

Just vandalism. It is suspected to be released with "Famous Last Words" but no one knows for sure.  Orfen User Talk | Contribs 18:51, 26 November 2006 (UTC)

Any reason why people are suspecting that? I mean, don't wanna get people's hopes up or anything, do we? - Infinity On High November 27 2006

The only reason people are suspecting it is because it was mentioned as being a B-side in the limited edition and since B-sides and released with a single usually and "Famous Last Words" is a single and it is next people are figuring it is going to be released. I mean, it makes sense but there is no confirmation of it yet as there could be other songs that will be released as B-sides.  Orfen User Talk | Contribs 21:29, 27 November 2006 (UTC)

Cleanup

can someone please cleanup "the patient" and put sources to where they got their information

Yes, but im studying for my exams, I would though, but from this site, shows a explanation of the song Mama, varying strongly from the explanation in "The Patient", http://www.lyricinterpretations.com/lookat.php/bands/My-Chemical-Romance/3284b898cd002a4 The fourth one down, but i cannot confirm wheneither this explanation or the explanation in "The Patient" is true or false.Spange 20:50, 26 November 2006 (UTC)

aiight, it's been cleaned up, but now there is no information on the patient, i really hate to be complaining all the time, but it just doesnt seem right

Whole album intentionally leaked? Or just the video?

I did a short web search when I read the whole album was intentionally leaked. On http://www.q101.com/cdreviews/Display.aspx?ID=60317 they say that just the title track video was leaked for promotion purposes, and that sounds much more believable to me.

"My Way Home is Through You" is this really a b-side? could we have a link? I want to see information about it. Blkeddie! 03:21, 19 December 2006 (UTC)

Link is on the Famous Last Words (song) article. Also I have read that "Kill All Your Friends" was confirmed somewhere that it was going to be on the Famous Last Words single. If I can find it I'll post it on that page.  Orfen User Talk | Contribs 03:23, 19 December 2006 (UTC)

Ohh okay thanks, if you could find the Kill All Your Friends info then that would put some more information on its page too, but you probably know that. Blkeddie! 04:04, 19 December 2006 (UTC)

That's what amazon says. Check the reference. íslenskur fellibylur #12 (samtal) 13:09, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
Yes, there are two versions.  Orfen User Talk | Contribs 21:18, 19 December 2006 (UTC)

Its out there, but does anyone think the b-sides have any connection to The Black Parade. My Way home is Through You kind of sounds like the patient is trying to talk to his lover. Lyrics: "Can't find my way home, But its through you and I know, What I'd do just to get back in her arms, Can't find my way home, But its through you and I know, What I'd do just to get back in her arms."

Its just a theory Blkeddie! 08:43, 26 January 2007 (UTC)

Part of "I Don't Love You" Demo

While re-watching the Life On The Murder Scene dvd, i actually heard I Don't Love You being played it happens about 1:57:01 into the video diary. If you click on the very last chapter "The Future", it would bring you straight to that point anyway, i'd just like to point this out, because I find it interesting how much this version compared to the album version are different, and I believe you would too. The Lyrics - We can't even look at you this way, but I did, and I loved you just the same. When you go, would you even turn to say "I Don't Love You, Like I Did Yesterday" Blkeddie! 05:18, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, but if you get the Welcome To The Black Parade Radio Edited single off of iTunes it comes with an interveiw with MCR that describes all of the songs and influences, apparently, Welcome to the Black Parade, The End, Disenchanted, and I Don't Love You were all written before Three Cheers was released, or at least in Demo version.161.184.46.142 02:14, 8 January 2007 (UTC)

'many source'

'Many critics have stated the album has more elements of rock than elements of pop, and prefer it over Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge.'

this needs deleting or collaborating. it sounds unqualified. i havent read a critics that has said anything like this. so unless a source can be provided it needs to go. --80.43.18.43 18:16, 14 December 2006 (UTC)

A lot of them I feel do, but I think that they do need to be edited a little. I suggest letting WP:MCR know and have them cleanup.  Orfen User Talk | Contribs 21:51, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
I really don't think any songs besides the singles need their own articles. The sections on the album tracks should really just be in this article. Cyclone49 13:02, 9 January 2007 (UTC)

Singles

The article needs a source for the singles, the only confirmed singles by the label are welcome to the black parade and famous last words. Other singles are rumors unless a source is provided. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 189.140.176.77 (talk) 22:11, 18 December 2006 (UTC).

Please just revert them. I have seen this as well. Unless reliable sources are provided please revert and remove them. The one I am frequently seeing is "Disenchanted". If no source is provided it can be considered a hoax and therefore vandalism.  Orfen User Talk | Contribs 02:44, 19 December 2006 (UTC)

Just found out, mtv has confirmed disenchanted as third single http://www.mtv.com/#/music/artist/my_chemical_romance/albums.jhtml?albumId=1396252

Does it say anything about it being the third single though? I'm probably wrong, but I don't see anything about it being a new single. I just see "Disenchanted", and when I click on it, it just says the name with not much else on it.Blkeddie! 23:50, 25 December 2006 (UTC)

It says it's an album. It could be just incorrect information. You really have to dig to find this and since this is the only single I find it unlikely. Although also unlikely they could just be releasing it on a CD or it's a mistake. Either way, I don't feel this source is reliable enough or has enough information to be able to call "Disenchanted" the next single.  Orfen User Talk | Contribs 20:04, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
I have just added an html note to the bottem of the single sections stating: "Please do not add any future singles without a source. This can be considered a hoax which is vandalism and will be treated as such." If a single is added without a source please remove it and add the appropriate warning to the user's talk page. Please see WP:HOAX and WP:VANDAL.  Orfen User Talk | Contribs 20:15, 26 December 2006 (UTC)

okay will do Blkeddie! 03:33, 27 December 2006 (UTC)

It's not the only single. I posted the link here because they have every single since three cheers, just go to their albums sections and on the menu select singles and EP, and there are all the singles including disenchanted, i think it's a reliable source.

of course they will list all previous singles, those are all known. Just having those there doesnt prove disenchanted to be the next single. Granted, it's a likely possibility, but until we have some decent evidence, it should not be placed as a single. 86.134.148.70 18:29, 27 December 2006 (UTC)

Reception section

To further bring this article closer to a Good Article, I have redone the reception section adding a summary of some reviews good and bad. Since not all reviews are listed this cuts down on the previous length issue and also provides some reviews from both points of view. I have added references where appropriate as well.  Orfen User Talk | Contribs 22:33, 7 January 2007 (UTC)

I would consider reorganizing the section to avoid POV. Use of the word "despite" and separating the reviews based on positive and negative lends itself to POV. Consider seeing what points the reviews raise about the album (musical style, lyrics, etc.) and possibly grouping the reviews by that. —ShadowHalo 02:22, 8 January 2007 (UTC)
Also see about rewriting some of the sentences. The word "claim", which is the first word at Wikipedia:Words to avoid, is used twice, and the phrase "praised the classic rock theme of the album" is used twice in a row. —ShadowHalo 02:25, 8 January 2007 (UTC)
I looked at this article as a GA review and I have a few comments before I would pass it. The intro is horrible as the second sentence is a list of dates and countries. I would prefer something simple to "The album was released in October 2006 on various dates around the world." The specific dates can be put elsewhere in the body. Second: The MTV interview in the intro says "The band said..." but doesn't give a cite. If you're claiming someone said something, even without quotes, you need a cite. Also, the reason the album is named "The Black Parade" isn't clear. I get the parade part, but why black? Is it because of death? Because the parade the kid went to was black? These sentences should be cleaned up. Next, the "Reception" section seems a little positively biased. Last, the line under Track Listing #14 seems a little "How to"-ish and perhaps a footnote would be a better way to present this information, wish more that says the track isn't available on some versions of the album. Overall it's not bad. Could use a little more meat in some places, but fixing these things I would be fine with it being a GA. I'm not failing it or putting it on hold, just trying to provide some feedback. --MECUtalk 19:46, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
Ok, I have made some changes. It probably still needs some work but I hope I got rid of a lot of the POV issues.  Orfen User Talk | Contribs 23:02, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
I don't think the reception section sounded biased, the Black Parade did receive for the majority positive reviews, just go to metacritic and look at all the positive reviews compared to the negative and mixed ones. So i don't think it's fair to say that the Black Parade received "mixed" reviews, since mixed reviews usually means the majority of the critics were pretty split, but to date I've only seen two negative reviews of the album, and only about 3 or 4 mixed, and the rest have been positive, so I don't think that the term mixed reviews really sums up the reception the album received. I changed it to it received "generally favorable reviews, with some negative and mixed reviews as well." I don't see how that is positively biased, it's just stating the truth, if the album had received mostly negative reviews for example, I'd say the album received generally negative reviews, however there were some mixed and positive ones as well, and that wouldn't mean I was being negatively biased. I also deleted the part where it stated that the album was lame and over the top in the criticism part, and then goes onto state the same thing a couple sentences later. One more thing about the reception section, I think that we need to stop adding anymore examples from reviewers, since the section is starting to get too long. That's the reason the reception section got deleted the first time. WIKI-GUY-16, 10 January 2007, (UTC)
I know why it was deleted but we need to be able to provide enough examples for both sides. If we don't provide enough negative then it would be biased. I tried to keep why it was deleted in my mind when I recreated the section. But I guess I can see what you're saying, it's just that as said further above this could possibly be a POV issue, but your view makes sense to me. I'm not going to revert it then.  Orfen User Talk | Contribs 01:44, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

Failed "good article" nomination

This article failed good article nomination. This is how the article, as of January 20, 2007, compares against the six good article criteria:

1. Well written?: Several problems:
  • "Like the band's first two albums, it is a concept album, centering around a character known as "the Patient," who potentially suffered an untimely death at a young age." potentially suffered an untimely death? This is confusing
  • "The album is produced by Rob Cavallo, who has produced every Green Day album since 1994, save for Warning:." This needs to be cleaned up, how about "The album is produced by Rob Cavallo, who has also produced albums for Green Day."
  • "This parade is also the main character's most fond memory which the band would like to think when death comes for you it comes in the form of your strongest memory." This sentence doesn't make sense.
  • "It has also recently been stated by Gerard Way" - Don't say recently, also redundancies in this sentence.
  • "The Black Parade received generally favorable reviews from critics, with some mixed and negative reviews as well." - This says nothing, clean this up, maybe even removed it. Also, the sentence is stranded by itself, not in a paragraph.
  • "Among the positive reviews, the album was received enthusiastically with many praising the band for the epic scope of the album and citing it as one of the better albums of 2006." This sentence should prob be removed, it's prose is poor anyway.
  • Don't have quotes in italics, just have them in quotation marks.
  • Prose generally needs a lot of work, as well there are quite a few redundancies in the article. You may want to submit the article here.
  • The article's structure is fine.
2. Factually accurate?: There are lots of references and inline citations which is good. However the reference style is wrong, see WP:CITET. As well, have your ref's immediately following a full stop, rather then with a space between the two.
3. Broad in coverage?: I believe so.
4. Neutral point of view?: There are some issues here, seems a bit to much editorialising. Especially with the reception section. I can see an effort has been made to include positive and negative criticism, but statements like the first in that section are a little dodgy.
5. Article stability? yes
6. Images?: yes, good

When these issues are addressed, the article can be resubmitted for consideration. Thanks for your work so far.

Overall the article needs a lot of work, especially with regards to criteria 1. Good luck getting it up to scratch. Contact my talk page if you have any questions about the issues I've raised. -Shudda talk 00:28, 20 January 2007 (UTC)

Alrite, well I think we should work on the points that Shudda adressed so we can get this up to good article status. mcr616 talk

Already started working yesterday on it. I tried to fix all the writing issues, I submitted it to the League of Copyeditors as suggested. I believe the only thing that I could probably be able to do is the citations and fix those up. I have tried my hand at the POV issues but whatever I try to do seems to be reverted. If anyone however can look at that then that would be great.  Orfen User Talk | Contribs 00:54, 21 January 2007 (UTC)

There are a bunch of best of 2006 lists here. maybe we should mention in this article and the WTTBP article what position they reached on some of the lists. icelandic hurricane #12 (talk) 17:10, 21 January 2007 (UTC)

Whats up with the template at the bottom of the page? They're like attached to each other and it looks kinda silly. mcr616 talk

K, it's fixed. mcr616 talk

Btw, If we add anything about where WTTBP made it to on the list, IMO it should be something small, not like the whole list. mcr616 talk

The only problem I see with this is the POV issues that we already have. We keep adding more for positive when I think people are getting at that we don't have enough negative or too much positive. I think people keep saying that we constantly praise the album in the article when it needs to have both sides. I don't know, that's kinda what I got from the comments above.  Orfen User Talk | Contribs 19:27, 21 January 2007 (UTC)

NPOV Issues?

You know, I re-read the article, and I can't really see where the NPOV problems are. It's not like we're writing "Gerard Way is teh sex!!!11!!" or "TBP=Best.Album.Ever.", so I don't really see why the article got cited in the review for being biased. mcr616 talk

Please check above discussions. To summarize though, I believe they were found in the Influences section and the Reception section where a lot of emphasis was placed on the Reception section.  Orfen User Talk | Contribs 21:21, 21 January 2007 (UTC)

I don't think it's biased, but w/e. I think we should put it up for peer review just to get some comments on how we could better the page.mcr616 talk

We could try, however, I believe we have enough suggestions from the GA review above. I have submitted the article to the League of Copyeditors and if we fix the NPOV issues then we should be find to resubmit it. Although the citations do need to be worked on as well.  Orfen User Talk | Contribs 21:28, 21 January 2007 (UTC)

kk, I'll try to work on the citations. mcr616 talk

I can work on the citations since I had retrieved most of the citations anyways. I said I'd get to it but haven't done it yet.  Orfen User Talk | Contribs 21:32, 21 January 2007 (UTC)

Sorry :(. mcr616 talk

Hi, the article isn't that bad for NPOV problems. The one issue is the statement "The Black Parade received generally favorable reviews from critics, with some mixed and negative reviews as well." this is maybe not NPOV, rather an unsourced statement. I would recommend removing it. Who decided the reviews were generally favourable? A ref could clean this up. Only other thing is the influences section, any stated influences that don't have a ref (from someone notable, eg a band member, producer, or well regarded music critic) could be considered NPOV. Both these things are probably more referencing issues then NPOV ones, however a good reference removes all problems. - Shudda talk 07:01, 22 January 2007 (UTC)

Ok, thanks! mcr616 talk

All The Angels Say

Should we put "All The Angels Say" under B-sides, or wait and see if they're going to release it as a B-side with the next single? For those out of the loop, Gerard mentioned "All The Angels Say" as another song that was recorded during The Black Parade sessions (this is in the Limited Edition book). Should we add it to the list, or wait until it's released? MJB12 21:59, 23 January 2007 (UTC)

Did he say that it was going to be released as a B-Side? If so then yes, put it in the list, if not then we need to wait for an official source. It could be a renamed song or possibly it may be released later or it may not be released at all. So if we're not sure what it is then do not add it.  Orfen User Talk | Contribs 22:12, 23 January 2007 (UTC)

I checked my copy of the book and I didn't see any mention of it relesed as a B-side, so why don't we wait untill we get confirmation from the band. Mcr616 01:09, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

Yes, that would be best, thank you.  Orfen User Talk | Contribs 21:49, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

The Soft Parade

the doors had made an album called the soft parade, that had a lot of instruments like trumpets and strings and stuff. i remeber that way had compared the black parade to the doors. do you think some influence could have come from that? Dizzydark 23:46, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

Maybe, but I wouldn't include that. See Wikipedia:No Original Research. Mcr616 00:17, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

just thought id mention it...Dizzydark 02:35, 26 January 2007 (UTC)

Thanks. Mcr616 20:31, 26 January 2007 (UTC)

Clean Version

I removed the comment about the clean version not including Blood, it does have Blood as the last track. And you can't really trust Amazon for the track listing, the regular version of The Black Parade on Amazon doesn't have Blood listed as a track on it either. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.107.69.157 (talk) 09:08, 31 January 2007 (UTC).

Didn't the article say that it did have the Blood track included? I believe this is the case unless it was a recent change or vandalism.  Orfen User Talk | Contribs 21:40, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

Someone changed it so that it said Blood was not included and then used a listing on Amazon which didn't mention Blood as being a track as a source. It must have been a recent change.

Song Meaning

I’ve noticed that on some of the songs pages that the meanings of the songs have been erased. Anybody know what happened to them? --MyChemical 08:18, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

No... Let me check it out Mcr616 21:46, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

Deleted for Original Research I believe.  Orfen User Talk | Contribs 23:35, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

Yup thats probably it Mcr616 21:13, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

Musical?

Did the band ever say they wanted a musical version of The Black Parade? All I heard was that they were thinking about expanding it into other forms. I'm deleting the comment about making TBP into a musical per Wikipedia:No Original Research until we have confirmation. Mcr616 17:23, 4 February 2007 (UTC)

Was there no source there? I believe there is an article asking them if they planned on making it a movie and they said they might end up making into a musical. I remember Gerard said it in some article but if there was no source keep it deleted until it is found.  Orfen User Talk | Contribs 19:01, 4 February 2007 (UTC)

No there wan't a source. We'll just leave it deleted for now. Mcr616 23:16, 4 February 2007 (UTC)

Gerard talked about it in an interview, but it was a video, not an article. --Yunaresuka 01:43, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
