[edit] Sister
Is there any reason to call her "the Sister" with capital S ? (IMDb calls her "the Daughter"). -- Beardo 07:08, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
- Short answer: no. Her character is the Daughter, not the Sister. (Almost all the characters in this film are referred to by their "role" in the story, rather than by name.) I've confirmed with IMDB and the published screenplay regarding Daughter/Sister, and made the changes in the synopsis. Lontano 17:38, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Numbers in the film
The main article sates:
It is of interesting note that the numbers in this film are the film's three acts.
There are many other numbers appearing on the film:
- the counting of the Mother's contractions at the beginning of the film
- the values for the child's garnments, the cost in exchange for blessings, and at the auction of his fluids
- the determination of the punisment for the daughter (208 rapes: 13 + twice 13 + 13x13), and the counting thereof
