Ahem. Source of said information was from an AWB CD inlay. "Their celebrations however are overshadowed with the death of McIntosh from a strychnine-based heroin overdose, when he believes he is snorting cocaine. Gorrie's is saved by alertness of Cher, who keeps him conscious until medical help arrives" - from the notes to Above Average, a 1996 best-of compilation on Castle Communications plc. It was previously in the article, I think it was me who put it there in the first place. To be honest it is only a bit of trivia which is why even though I came here and stated my source, I didn't rush to re-instate it in the article, it didn't seem that important. To me it's the well researched, so-called, 'trivia' that lifts Wikipedia above the other non-encyclopedic styled sites. Thus becoming a generally, well-rounded NPOV, research site for all. Frankly, I would encourage such input (but what do I know).

As far as I can tell from album covers, AWB was credited as "The Average White Band" only on their first album. All others I can find credit them as "Average White Band" and/or use the moniker "AWB". I suggest that we change the article heading to "Average White Band". Any objections? Szarka 17:55, 28 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Death of Robbie McIntosh

How accurate are your sources regarding the death of Robbie McIntosh? Album notes from the group's "Soul Searching" recording specifically states that McIntosh's death was not the result of a drug overdose, but the result of being poisoned at a Hollywood party, thus their tribute song to him called "Love Your Life". —Preceding unsigned comment added by 162.115.108.122 (talk) 16:58, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
