[edit] Use of "The" in article name

Usually Wikipedia deletes "The" in the name of an article, and I was about to do the same for this article (and put in a redirect at this spot to the new-name article) but there is a complication here which seems to justify "The".

The award is named partly after The Australian newspaper, which has a Wikipedia article with "The", a word which seems to be very integral to the name of the newspaper (and easily distinguishes it from any other uses of the word "Australian", minimizing confusion). Since the award name stems from The Australian, the word "The", capitalized and italicized or within quotes, is constantly used with the award name when the award is mentioned elsewhere (just do a Google search). So for the sake of clarity and helping readers, this seems to be the best title for the article. I'm creating a redirect page for "Australian/Vogel Literary Award" if it doesn't exist already.Noroton 15:29, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
